Personally I thought both Eric and Max were creeps and would honestly wouldn't mind it if both of them got kicked out of the house before doing anything and some new guy who isn't a weirdo replaces max as the protagonist. Eric is bad but way to many incest games have the protagonist be a creep for some reason. Eric is the worst of the two though.

I could well see Max (or the role he plays) as the anthagonist, but I would not like to play a scumbag character like Eric. Sure, most main chars have serious issues, but they normally aren't complete assholes - or at least there is almost always a choice not to be one. I like to play the nice guy. Brain damaged and crazy, but still nice. There are some game where you chose either to get close to the chicks or control them by fear. And ... it's just no fun seeing the others suffer. That's just not for me.
Personally I can't stand asshole mcs so I'd never even look at this game if the protagonist was Eric. The one benefit max has over a lot of other incest game protagonist is that at least he doesn't molest people in their sleep. I realize this might be the wrong game for this but I genuinely dislike corruption. It's creepy. I prefer when the protagonists actually build up relationships with the characters overtime. I've only seen a few corruption ones where I liked and it wasn't really corruption it was mostly just the mc trying to convince them to go the next step so it felt more like seduction.
This game has some build up for the relationships but its just really grindy and boring when you do and most of the storylines really arent that interesting in the first place. Even without Eric coming in the Max is a perv whose creeping in on his family. And Eric is also a perv and a sexual predator who tries to get rid of a kid so he can sleep with his family. They are both awful and I honestly had more enjoyment kicking out eric than anything else in the entire game. I'd rather replace max with some friend from Alice's school.

I like the points so far but there's some that just miss the mark.
1) You can't have your cake and eat it too, your either like voyeurism or not so if your playing for the shower scenes with the girls you can't call the character creepy. I have played the game already without peeping much and it didn't affect much if anything if I remember correctly. Stealth points have pretty little effect outside of the voyeur aspect of the game.
2) 99% of the grind is directly related to Eric, after getting rid of him the game flows a lot smoother to me. Plus a degree of common sense is reestablished.
3) And this is one point I generally try to shy away from. You can't be onesided when applying logic to a scenario even water can exist in three states and still be considered water. You can drink water but you can't drink ice or eat vapor. NTR is NTR but most arguments seem to suggest it's only NTR if it's against the protagonist here and turn a blind eye when it's reversed.
4) Not sure of this point, I'll have to go back to replay the beginning to confirm. But I'm pretty sure Eric was the person that suggested the punishment system and then later the naked punishments. If I'm wrong I apologize up front.
5) Last point, A fundamental fault of a lot of arguments. Ann, Alice, Lisa and Kira are costars in this VN. Eric is a popular extra at best. This game is about Max and constantly debating that is pointless to me. If you go to see a Spiderman movie and like Vemon more do you remove Spiderman from his movie? Guessing the answer is no. You'd make a Venom movie. I raised the problem with that in an earlier comment too. Frankly producers will produce what the majority will pay for.
Just get enough supporters together and I'm sure an Eric based game can be done, but this one is already taken.

I was a low tier supporter there, but stopped when he wasn't getting money.

I find "corruption" incredibly stupid. I can live with "influencing" or "convincing" or "seducing" someone, but "corrupt" her/him? That's just bollocks. This stupidity is only topped if the game has an actual corruption stat (which then has to be grinded even).
I prefer char writing where the others decide for themselves (of course accorting to script) what they do. A pure story based progress is best in my opinion.
I guess there are enough people out there who actually need to feel in control over someone (look at all that control/submission/blackmail bullsh**) and the devs follow their wishes.

I am honestly and truthfully convinced that you need to reread my post.
Apart from that ... look at Eric fan art, what Eric fans expect fom him.
And of course he comes into Ann's house and gets after her daughters, fires her later after she breaks up. He forces Kira to interact sexually with him if he catches her and Max. Aparently his plan was also to marry Ann, take the house and then kill her. I can't confirm that it's true, but several people told me that this was part of the original games plot. Let's just assume he won't make her suffer when he does that.
I think the punishment system was already in place, Eric did suggest to Ann about making them strip naked for punishment though. Just wished they stopped covering everything up when standing there before and after their punishment.

Yup, that's in the original game, but the actual way of getting rid of Ann is not mentioned. Max just over hears Eric talking to his girlfriend about taking the house away from Ann and getting rid of everyone so that they can be together again and they'll be together again soon. My absolute hatred of Eric may be connected to that event even though I played the original after starting with BB_AS. Funny enough that might make a good storyline arch especially if an enraged Dad is bought into the story to bury him. That would definitely be a change of pace.

To be honest, i always pictured the end game of big brothers story with the arrival of the father. He either is horrified to witness his family in a complete debauchary of incest and pornstars, or he pulls out an Aizen and proclaims it was all part of the plan.

Honestly, I think fathers are mostly avoided in these types of games because there's really only 2 ways to deal with them in an adult game. Either they're an overpowered adversary like Eric starts off as, or they're a loser and a cuck. So unless the game specifically focuses on cuck content it's better for the father to be dead, or a cheater who left, or just absent for some other reason. I think someone like Kate's mom would make a more interesting adversary. She could be kind of like an evil version of Kira but with some fun options for Max to turn the tables on her and dominate her. I dunno, I liked how the dad turned out in Milfy City. I legitimately felt bad for him towards the end. He loves his wife and family and is completely there for them both socially and supportively, and tries his absolute hardest to stay with his wife and family, but ultimately can't because his wife is a degenerate that wants to fuck her son AKA the player.
Say what you want about that game, but the characters are almost always 10/10 in terms of writing.
I liked that game overall, but the dad turning into a cuck was a huge negative to me. I would much rather either him not be in the game at all or have him be an asshole who cheats on mom and then either she dumps him or he dumps her. That would be a less creepy reason for him to be out of the way than fucking mom right under his nose.

I was merely suggesting a branch, not the main game. Eventually the three paths will merge into one. Who's to say it can't branch again? Eric haters (like me) might like another alt path to play like a Marval (what if) branch nothing to long or time consuming just saying. We've already endured Eric for two years, what can be worst?

I have absolutely nothing against NTR, I play TAC and The Tyrant is one of my all time favorites even if it was abandoned. The character is just garbage. No redeeming qualities. He isn't even a decent antagonist. The only thing that stops Max from obliterating him was a coding error that lasted for years that allowed him to gain influence over the girls when he wasn't even there. Motherfucker had 2 nights at home per week and still outpaced Max that had 7, even if players grinded EVERY, SINGLE, FUCKING, EVENT, the entire week. That contributed to players like me despising the fucking character. Give me a fat old fuck with half an ounce of IQ that wants to cage the girls and abuse them and I'd probably still like him better than Eric.
