I made a patch to allow you to change the MC's name from Max to something else.

To use the patch, copy zz_patch.rpyc into the \game folder and restart your game.

Enjoy.

I would suggest you to correct the code, as the current code is not going to do any changes to this game.
It maybe a generic format for most games, but this game doesn;t use any variable "mcname" or "player_name"
Moreover, there are 2 variables in your file.

The code in your attached file zz_patch.rpy

    $ mcname = mcname.strip()
    if mcname == "":
        $ player_name="Max"

This is not going to work, but simply popup every time the game loads.

On that Note: I would not recommend using this file until there is some change in code.

The game literally stopped working. After the loading small screen nothing happens Had to remove some save files to make it work again.

I made this patch for myself and I never entered nothing as a name. It should now work, as advertised.

Now, if you like the name "Max" then just press enter or, better yet, don't use this patch.

Well, I had the impression that as soon as I gave them to her, it was possible to set her up when at the same time before giving them to her it wasn't. I'll give it a try at some point to see if my impression was correct or yours

I don't know about this remake, but I know in the original I was pretty sure that you could reduce the cooldown on her starting to smoke again (making it so you got the pool smoking events and the opportunity to set her up faster) by giving them to her.

IIRC, she would go several days without smoking after getting caught and punished (presumably Ann took them away from her and it took her a few days to get some more), but you could get her to start smoking again right away by giving her cigarettes.

But I haven't played this remake enough to know if that mechanic works the same. Or maybe if I am just misremembering how it had worked in the original.

I did take the loan. But you still have to pay it back. So you still have to spend weeks just saving up 500 dollars, whether they are after purchasing the dress and swimsuit or before. If you get the loan it is actually 550 you need to save up so it is a few more days of grinding.

Maybe I am the only one who feels this way, but I don't particularly find having to click through 4 weeks while having basically no new content (because I can't spend any money to buy the items to get the new content) particularly fun.

And then I need another few weeks to save up enough money to get some items for other events, that will actually let me start making some money off of the web camera. The web camera you have to spend hundreds more on, between the book and advertising, for it to actually become a semi-decent source of additional income once enough events in the living room are unlocked.

Call it personal preference for not having binding contractual obligations. Or expectation for balance to work without handouts from game.

Buying the cigarettes is just a mechanic to make her happy by giving them to her.

That, and it allows you to resupply her if she runs out. You can't find cigarettes in her room if she no longer has any.

That would be Big Brother, the original game whose development began as a proof of concept and was never completed. It spawned countless remakes and spin-offs (of which BBAS is one). I suppose what was actually demonstrated was the power of having attractive models in a sex game.

Since it seems we have some people seeking information about the early game I guess it's time for my 'money making made easy' post.

#1 As soon as you can get the first camera and website. It WILL take a couple days for buying the book you need and reading it.

#2 Ask Ann/Mom for money every chance you get.

#3 Do NOT buy or set up any more cameras until you have bought the outfits for Alice and Lisa. The more cameras you have the more difficult it will be to get money.

#4 Every time you advance time try to be in the lounge with the original (and only) camera. Yes, there are times that you WILL be in another room, but if you have the option get to the lounge.

#5 EVERY morning as soon as Max wakes up go to the laptop and get the money from the website, then buy Advertising. I recommend buying as much as possible up FOUR. You may get more money for more advertising, but four packages will get more than enough money.

#6 You can buy ONE of the outfits early if you want (I suggest waiting for the warning you will get), but do NOT buy and give both. I'm not sure things have changed, but in the past there COULD be issues if you buy and give both outfits early.

#7 Take the loan when the option appears. You SHOULD have more than enough money and not need the loan but TAKE IT. There was an issue if you didn't take the loan and I'm not sure if it has been fixed. You can easily take the loan, buy the outfits, give them to to ladies, then pay everything back.

The money you get from cameras is based on the number of viewers. By having only having 1 camera, Max spending as much time in the room with that camera, and buying advertising you can get a LOT of money relatively quickly. So far I have posted versions of this guide several times and it has WORKED. After you have given the outfits STOP asking for money that does not require a chore (cleaning pool and buying groceries). If you do a chore that's a GOOD or neutral thing. Just asking for money is NOT a good thing and can affect the mood score for Ann/Mom (it might affect relationship as well but I don't remember).

If you find that I need to change something PLEASE post here so I can be accurate and help others.
