I go for the other remake personally (Big Brother: Ren'Py - Remake Story [v1.07]). They’ve already got the entire original game and are working on new content. And saves are compatible between versions (at least the direct previous version).

Oh i've never noticed that there is another remake ... are the updates regularly or more like "this version" XD?
So whats actually new, saw a post that it wasnt the "complete chapter" or whatever, does that mean theres more coming soon or what?
I'm not a programmer so I don't want to be presumptuous or too critical. If we were talking about another game, any other game, I would have already given up after the third time I got the message "It's not compatible, you have to start over". So I want to give a compliment: if I'm starting over for the THOUSAND time it's because I care about this game. But, honestly, after spending years with it... I really hope this is the last time. Because I'm getting bored. Sorry but I'm sincere

and if there is a second scene Eric fuck Max's white soft ass.In terms of recording the state of the game it's all the same: a group of variables used to store the values of individual elements/quests/plot sub-paths etc. It's not like porn sandbox games are inherently unable to use older saves, plenty of them do it without any issues.
The incompatibility only enters the picture if for some reason developer decides to mess with already established variables and/or structures and how their values correspond with the game state. Avoiding it is just something that should be taken into account in advance, when the game framework is planned. And if this sort of mess happens with every subsequent release, then it's something wrong with the project on fundamental level, even more so if it goes unaddressed and the player is expected to just deal with it.
I confess that i have trouble envisioning how i'd go about designing a game that'd break the saves even on any slightest change or addition. Sandbox or not. In a way, it's almost impressive that this one manages such feat. Well, unless it's just some simple case of checking version and if it's different then rejecting the save, no matter if it's actually incompatible or not. But that would be silly.

Dear all, it was said right at the beginning when BB ASR was started that the saves in chapter 1 will not be compatible and that every update must be played from the beginning. That's why I don't understand why people always ask about it. I always did that with the original game Dark Silver. I played the whole game from the beginning with every new update.. Then with Aleksey's BB AS and now with BB ASR. I personally don't see a problem here, especially now that the game is split into chapters. There is only an update 0.7 in chapter 1. After that, Chapter 2 will begin. As it is now, I can easily play through all the paths in each chapter in one day.

Also, I second the save issue. More so though, I simply think that sandbox games like this are simply a bad game type. You know what's a fun? NOT having to repeat random events and burn through days upon days of in-game time waiting for the right triggers to line up, or sometimes literally just for character to be present.
No clue why people like sandbox games. Only time they work IMO is when they're on a very specific rail.
Like sandbox is fine if the world is still progressing linearly. You exist within a progressing world and if you miss certain events for others then you can hit them on a replay.

if any one knows any games with patroen passwords or any other codes or needs cheat mods (will not do anything with a need for custom assets) please contact me. if ya provide the info then i will do my best to provide the stuff. and if you want a mod make sure you pay with games that have codes even if they are already solved. this is related to big brother in the following way - they are both games...
