genuinely curious about an up to date progress report now. it's been at least two weeks since he got the virus so that must be behind now. And we're 2 weeks into the 3 week delay he announced. So if we follow this logic the release is in one week ?
Unless of course if this is just a big excuse to save time.

Yeah, he said 3 weeks is the earliest we will get the update, if no more delays. I'm not sure about the equipment ether. But I don't look for the next update until late June. This should be the largest update yet, judging by past update predictions, I think end of June is the best we can hope for.

He said if we voted to have 4.0 in one go then it would take an extra few weeks. He is commentating on Patreon posts. If his estimate was accurate we probably won’t get the release until 21st or 22nd.
when I said 3 weeks it was for full 4.0 starting two weeks ago. so in 1 week that makes 3. So that's the closest occurence. But since he's known for putting systematicly 1-2 weeks more because he's not yet comfortable with release dates, I can agree with your dates.
I'm kinda lost is the orginal game cancelled? Is this a fanmade? A remake of the same author?

The original game was indeed cancelled because of the Patreon ban on incest. The original dev decided to remake his first game Glamour, but has remade elements of BB in it because that's what brought in the big bucks. This is a fanmade remake (hopefully with the original intent and not the clusterfuck that BB had devolved into because of the original dev's pandering to his biggest patreons).

Yeah, I think Aleksey will stay with his original intent, not sure how that will match with DS. Remember Aleksey is no fan of Eric or NTR. Still I think he always had the intent of having some in the game, at lest for those that like it. Of course I do not speak for Aleksey.
I'm glad Aleksey is continuing the story, thus far it seems like its in good hands. You could definitely tell DS hit a wall with BB and had no clue or desire how to continue.
Originally you had Eric try and take all women as his own, so you had to stop his influence and basically take his place as the alpha and make them all your fucktoys.
Problem was, this whole thing was a grindfest, including the “war” which basically was non-existent, causing people to complain about Eric since his “counter-grind” happened off screen and thus “magically” happened.
So because his highest tier Patreons threatened to walk out if Eric wasn’t “dealt” with, DS wrote him out.
And that’s where the story completely fell apart. Alice and Lisa were already under your control but it became clear that Lisa just didn’t care and just wanted to fuck no matter what, and Alice did a 180 and went from sub to dom. So we had one sister who didn’t listen to you and another who was the alpha instead of you.
But wait! There is the mom, isn’t there? Oh, that’s an entire clusterfuck on its own. After Eric is gone, Ann gets fired because her old boss wasn’t too fond of Eric (hey Max, instead of going to underground sexdungeons and criminals, why not try his collegues first?) so because she can’t get a job, Kira gets her into porn. But don’t worry, it’s lesbian porn and she doesn’t get to cum because that’s the plan! To get her so horny and sexually frustrated she jumps your bones! She doesn’t fuck you because you’re the best around, like the alpha you should be, but because you’re the only thing available, like the beta you are.

That is a very spot on analysis of the original game, and it's downfall. It was always very clear that the game had far too much grind. Simply moving the decimal place over one spot on all grind actions so as to benefit you 10 times faster wouldn't have even been enough. Nobody enjoys excessive repetitive grind. Eric's invisible counter-grind was the worst as well. Had that been made more visible, and controllable the game would have been far more interesting.
To solve the "Cuck Complainers" problem the best solution would have been to give the option for Eric to become the protagonist in place of Max. For instance if you get Max shipped off to military school then it's not "Game Over". It's Eric is now protagonist. Making Max have been a False protagonist to that point. "Eric's Story" no longer "Big Brother".
Problem was they simply necked Eric. Sold him off to be some sex slave in a dungeon some place when it was Max all along that should have been taken out of the equation.
Playing as Eric a much faster new grind can also be implimented. Eric could have been a greater protagonist... New Step Daddy with 2 hot daughters. Maybe play just for Anne, be faithful, or maybe go for all 3.
Perhaps killing off Max with military school would have ended up the same way it did with killing off Eric... Maybe recode the whole game go back to the start, and "Pick your player" Max or Eric. That could have been interesting.
Problem was the team up with Eric stuff, and all the Eric building and all that was destroyed too. The story told from Eric's perspective had a lot of potential, and was squandered because he simply became a "Bull Enemy" or "Bull Buddy".
Worse part about the grind is that every stat was just used once. The massage was only for Alice and was needed to unlock the erotic massage for Ann. And both were necessary to continue the story. The whole sneaking thing seemed pointless (once you've seen the girls naked, meh, same picture next time, so why bother), but suddenly it became necessary (along with the luck skill) to catch Eric peeping on Alice. Not that it mattered, the whole thing was just to show how much of a hold Eric had on the family (which was the dumbest thing ever and for once, I totally got the Eric-hate bandwagon), no matter your influence. And then sneak and luck were never used again. Every other game where you need a certain skill to beat a boss, there are other uses for that skill, before and after that boss.
As for the counter-grind, that happened each time Eric spend time with the girls. So that meant a flat-rate increase every week when they went shopping, and when Eric bought Alice clothes and the sex eductation with Lisa. Alice was countered by buying her clothes instead of Eric, meaning a money sink (the whole Alice thing was a money sink, hope Aleksey handles this better), and Lisa was stopped through game progression making it a non issue. As for the weekly increase, as well as the influence on Ann, that was countered by the grind fest of doing chores, which I just did to pass the time, because, damn, was there nothing to do in that game. So, Eric quickly became a non-issue, because doing your chores was enough to keep the "game over" at bay. After Eric left, the whole influence became another non-used skill. Which reminds me, was authority ever used for something? Because I think that also became a non-issue. If you didn't peek at anyone, you didn't get punished (and why would you? Been there, seen it, no need for repeats), so yours never dropped. And authority didn't degrade, so when your authority over your sisters was 100%, I stopped setting them up, because it served no purpose, other than longer breakfast/dinner that could have been skipped otherwise.
So, Aleksey, if you're reading this, make the influence thing more meaningfull somehow. Have Eric spend time with the girls outside his scripted behaviour (not off screen, of course), but a surprise talk with either one when he comes over, just to keep us on our toes (and showing us he's actively trying to get into their panties). As for the authority, have it degrade over time, so we need to remind them who's boss. Again, Eric can play a part in this. On the war path, he could blame us for something, causing our authority to go down, or on the friend path, he could blame the girls, increasing our authority. Again, just to keep us on our toes and play the game as intended, rather than just skipping it because it's become pointless. Also, make the skills more important by using them for more than just one character once. I'm sure more girls than just Alice need to be massaged, or perhaps sneaking into someone's room to steal something (first thing that pops to mind, on the friend path, we could prove our allegiance to Eric by stealing Alice's panties while she's sleeping in her room).

I've said this 500 times, so I'll say it again, Aleksey has said many times that he does not like Eric, now you want him to make Eric the protagonist. I'm sure this is going to happen, right. Ok, a better solution for Eric, Max and Eric are alone at the house, the girls are gone shopping. Eric is sitting by the pool, Max is behind him with a tire iron, just by accident Eric lay dead by the pool, Max cuts his head of(for a trophy)and grinds the body up, can's it and labeled it Eric's little wewe dog food, packaged and shipped off to Uzbekistan. Eric problem over. Oh, Max explains to the family that the sculpture of Eric's head that he keeps on his bedpost is to remined him of the great (Little dick) man he used to know. Now as for the Eric/no Eric NTR/no NTR debate, I've ben there, done that, got the t-shirt, moving on.
Dead Eric in Pool is not the best idea because do have an idea how much it would cost to change the water and the family is already short on it

Max gulps as Eric gets behind him, his hands still running over his chest.
"Would you like that?" Eric growls in Max's ear as the large man's hand drops lower and his fingers slips inside his swimming trunks, "would you like to be... bigger?"
