No game or product will satisfy everyone. I'm just part of the group that is tired of the same story. There are at least two going on right now that are telling the exact same story which is a just a near identical copy of the original.

Reboots can be fun but, to me at least, it's never as satisfying as something new. If the original was terrible or was so long ago that new viewers might not have seen the original then sure re-establishing canon can be necessary. I don't feel that that is necessary here, but that's just my opinion.

There can be overlap in sequels. Superman as a baby doesn't crash land on Earth in Superman 2. Empire Strikes Back doesn't tell the story of Luke discovering the Force. The story continues and viewers have to have some familiarity with Star Wars to understand Empire and it turned out fine. If it is that big of a deal then add a prologue the way Terminator 2 did.

Lisa's Special Day is a good sequel. You have to know the origin story to understand what is happening and it doesn't rehash BB.
Big Brother Fan Game another good sequel. Picks up right where DS left off. Origin story is not explained, just new content.
There is another one that has Max, Lisa and I think Olivia moving to a new city. Good sequel, no origin explanation and just continuing the story.



I've tried making my own game and while DAZ isn't difficult it is time consuming. I've written story drafts and created story boards but DAZ requires downloading tons of resources, learning how to use DAZ then learning how to use the resource then the game engine has to be learned as well... I've worked on writing a few mods for various games but I just don't have the patience to create a game itself.

These developers have proven they can use the models and have great art.

I prefer to think that I am encouraging them to use their full potential and to not just quote what was done before.

If you don't want a Big Brother game with a Big Brother story, maybe... Try another game! I know it's an odd concept, but it just might work. Otherwise, all you're doing is bitching about how you want the dev to change to suit YOUR desires.

You miss the point of this game. It's not to pick up where the original left off, it's to COMPLETE the original.

I agree and disagree with your conclusion. This seems to not ONLY be an attempt to complete the original but also expand and (in my mind) improve it. As I have pointed out before, the CURRENT story in this IS behind where the original had gotten by this time in development, but we have a similar amount of content. Of course the lack of Chocolate Chip Cookie content IS distressing, but I have hope.

I guess it's time for another Spoiler fest so that we see some of the new things added here.

With the mess of spoilers completed I just want to say that the new things added here make the game more enjoyable to me. Yes, I want more (SEXY) fun, but the growth of the characters feels better to me than how the original version of this game handled things. Of course to TRULY make this game AWESOME we need to see cooking lessons and Chocolate Chip Cookie Content.

Just a thought.

I can't wait to see the next Image in this scene where (EVIL Scum) Eric gets what he deserves... LOVELY Lisa's KNEE in his Groin. I imagine that after that she will go join Max and we will FINALLY get some HOT chocolate Chip Cookie content, since Max had just removed the cookies from the oven.

One could ask the question why YOU don't play the original if you want to see Eric. He's already in that game, so why bother for a new game with same ol' Eric in it? You can even keep him as a friend if you don't care for the movie story arc.

There's already new stuff in this game, which is great. Getting rid of Eric however is what seemingly most of the players wait, so there can be more story arcs without him being involved. I am all up for new ways to get rid of him. I don't need the same thing a second time, I like the new stories, I just want him gone.

Where does this information come from? Is this implemented in any of the versions of the game? This is the first time I've heard about it from you, but it would be very interesting...

It's well known that I don't like Eric, and there will be a way to get rid of him in 0.07. But it may be best to wait until later to do it. As for keeping Eric in the game permanently, I don't think that will be possible. The dev has never said one way other. We do know however that there will be family porn movies. And the dev has said that friendship with Eric will end badly for Max or Eric. A bad ending for Max = game over.

I certainly can not do the development of Eric in the direction of Alice and Lisa (and I would not do it with joy), but this will mean that the player and Max, with any of his actions, will have nothing to lose and nothing to worry about, which is not right. Max's actions or omissions must have consequences, so Eric's development towards Alice and Lisa, as well as towards Ann and Kira, will be whatever you allow him to be.

... and so little time to actually implement it. This is not a big production company. If you want all these options, you might not have to wait for months, but for years to the next major update.

A game without antagonist is boring, it's as simple as that. Imagine Lord of the Rings without Sauron. Or Mario with the castle & princess just a screen away from starting the level. Or anything Marvel without all of the supervillains, what would heroes even be doing in that case? Doesn't mean that Eric must stay, since defeating him is half of the fun. But frankly original game became boring quick after Eric was gone. Thus I hope Max will get some new challenges and enemies after Eric.

The thing I wanted to highlight is the fact that with the other versions of this game, we do NOT see what was happening in Ann's room
