I played all 3 games.
I guess that people who are really not into playing games with BDSM content are probably avoiding BB games in general. Spanking punishment is a part of the content and Max' private sessions with Alice include spanking and bondage in all the games.
Your guess is wrong. There's quite a difference between spanking and that circus with handcuffs, leather suits and sadistic games some people like. There's a lot of that crap in Glamour and there was just a few in BBAS before last update for Alice.

Me too. It's not a kink shaming, it's just a try to avoid kink shuffling (pretty physical spanking / role playing BDSM).
In BB series there's a bit of role playing too, but with a different scenario.

Max can listen to Eric talking to his real girlfriend when on the wallet path ... there Eric reveals that he wants the house.
I don't remember if Eric wants to kill everybody or just dump them. Since he controls Ann, marrying her would allow him to take direct control/ownership of the house.
The plot is very weak considering that Eric is using a false name and don't want to draw attention by certain people ....
I guess it was added to promote Eric from rival to villain just before Max get rid of him ...
