Exactly, Im annoyed from that , especially that i replayed BB Original recently.
I think he may be reducing the grind somewhat in the new version. You can't actually get to level 2 in any skills from what I can see yet, but you can get more than enough xp to reach level 2 in stealth already. It just won't let you actually level up. Previous versions seemed to require a LOT more grinding to gain a level, certainly WAY more than a single day's worth for a full level. That would definitely be a welcome change. Hopefully the reduction in skill for a failed attempt is small enough that you don't have to save scum to make good progress.
I did run into a crash peeking on Alice in her bedroom the morning of day 2. Seemed to be outfit dependent because when I rolled back it was fine. I didn't grab a screen capture but if I remember right it was an outfit with dress in the name.

He does ask to watch with Kira who puts him off with a maybe then Ann gets involved and it doesn't happen. I was sort of surprised in Glamour when Fedor is watching a Kira and I suspect Max movie she's not at least thinking hey have I seen this too much or do they look familiar.
Checked out the new version, and first that jumped out was what looked to be rendering camera spotlight used, it makes the pictures look like they have been photographed with flashlight, which might be alright in some situations, but IMO it doesn't look right in the Big Brother context, I think the lighting should be more natural.
It seems there has been more effort put in positioning, more hair options used, which is a plus.
diary prop seems redundant
really welcome thing is the added text to the choices explaining consequences and showing probabilities, though, had to reload 6 times to "win" in a 70% probability choice...
the dream sequence was a nice touch, though it could have used some post work, so we could get an idea that it was actually a dream, for a moment I thought it was some nudity scene added to the demo from future content just to to try and hook the audience, adding some fuzz or blur effects, or perhaps adjust colors to look "off" might have helped to sell it a dream sequence (something that can be done quickly in post and don't require rerendering)
and that aliens head on the desk looked like a tribute to someone...
