They do - at least in the legacy version. But I think only one pack is used every day, never figured quite out how it works exactly. Just bought one for each day of the week and hoped for the best.
What boosts your income on the first days is to spend time in the rooms with cameras, so the living room is the place to go until you set up more cameras.

You can use the mod. Make sure to use the right mod. Legacy version and rebuild have their own cheat mods.
It is not a game, but set of comics that use images from BB fan art, BB games and some other game.

Ignoring #1, they are shots from the modded original version and some fan art, integrated into the Big Brother RenPy remake. #2 clearly uses a different Alice model than Aleksey uses. The other models are different too, but in this one it's most obvious.
If by nothing else, then you can tell by the inconsistent render style and quality, that they are not Aleksey work and are actually made by different people.
