I think you got some stuff wrong. The original game "big brother" was developed by "Dark Silver" and this game is done by someone else using basically the same game but changed in certain ways and story paths.
And this game was is about 2 years old.....

ummmmmm im assuming it does not work for .08

There is a very decent chance it will work as is with 0.8.
It will take me a couple of days to test it, if you are impatient give it a shot.
Just in case though, keep a backup of your 0.7 saves. If you're starting a new game, I would suggest waiting.
