Ah, so you need to relativize in order to make a point.

Really, you shouldn't make a generic statement like "He doesn't mistreat anyone but Max" and then later take 5 steps back with something like "Of courde I meant compared to other games. We're talking about porn games here". That part should have been in the first post.

If you don't want answers ("jump on you"), you can always stop posting about it. That way there will be no target to jump on.

Honestly your take is so out there I was debating on whether or not to even engage with it. I respect your opinion and there is nothing wrong with enjoying the game or one of its characters. My problem with Eric has always been with how poor of a character he actually is.

I don't disagree that he's not particularly well written in the game, or that he wants to use the family for his purposes.
But honestly, half the cast at least in the original were as improbable and poorly written.

My biggest gripe with Max is that his model seems 14-15 but I have no big issues with the game. There was a game, I don't remember which, where during a chase someone more or less said "fuck this" and threw a grenade at Max spying on Ann changing in a store, and blew both of them up. I laughed my butt off at that.

Realistically, that alone is more than a red flag and creepy and certainly reason enough to kick him on the streets. Keyword: Realistically.
Not in a porn game.
But realistically, a guy out of highschool that creeps on the sister of his girlfriend or mother etc also deserves to be kicked out. Keyword: Realistically.

Also, realistically, a man can't 'perform' several times per day as we do in these games, doesn't drive women insane with his dick the first time he has sex and all that. Keyword: Realistically.

And again realistically, people going after their mother, aunt and sisters are more that a bit problematic. Keyword: Realistically.

I'm personally not a huge fan of Max either. But Max family and Eric pretty much a stranger who was invited into their house then prodeceds to harrass and black mail two different family members and make sexual advances at the rest. Those other mcs you mentioned I don't like either and not every harem mc is like that anyway. At least in the case of max, he may be a peeping Tom but aside from the hidden camera thing he doesnt really do much else that's out of line. And he only does the hidden camera thing because of Eric.



If you like those type of protagonists. Good for you, I cant stand them and I personally would never looked at the game if max didnt exist and Eric was the protagonist. And to be honest I cant really think of two many Harem games I've seen that do what you are describing anyway. Most of the ones that I've seen that do either has the stuff you are suggesting as optional and often penalize you for creeping anyway if you manage to get caught. I also don't think most mothers would kick their sons out for creeping unless he was way out of high school. A 20 year old would probably just get a severe scolding as most 20 years olds are not self sustainable yet.

That's a fundamental flaw with me in conferring tone through written text. There was no malice, ill intent or bad faith meant by those words. I apologize if I came off a little too strong on the wording. My bad.

As for MC's of that ilk..... Point 2 vaguely removed. I generally don't play them after I get the gist of where the character's character lies. There are a few exceptions I'll admit I still play with some of those qualities. I stopped playing Bang City and a few others because for me personally I really dislike unnecessary name calling especially when it's directed at people you call loved ones. So too much slut, bitch, whore, etc and I'm out that's just me. But I admittedly still play Midnight Paradise, Area69 and Photo Hunt whose MC's do share one or more of those traits. Currently run off a play through of Power Vacuum which to me is another version of BB storywise but the MC's moral compass is more intact.

No kidding, seems nothing is off limits in his writing. He goes in on everything. The Eric sence was the first one I picked on then I started to notice references to other games.

He never had to make money before Eric showed up. What little bit of money he got he got from doing chores fan Ann and it was fine. It's not like you need that much when you are still supported by your parents. He only started the cams because Eric started trying to buy influence through all this gifts and Max needed a way to compete. If Eric never showed up he would have never used the cams. After Eric leaves you don't really need the cams that much at all

Actually, logically he should get rid of the ones in the bedrooms and bathrooms for the absolute minimum because now their a liability. The others can at least be chalked up to security. But he'll temporarily need at least two for income for groceries.

He guesses was put there during construction or just for security(keep in mind most people with kids dont have sex in their living room). He pretty much just ignores it after that until Eric shows up and starts buying gifts. The he creates the website to try and make some money using the cameras and then buys the other cameras after making a little more.

I think that was Glamour. I think in both the original and BIBOAS versions it was find cam -> read information about web standards -> set up site, without Eric being involved. Also, Alice would not start her webcam show until later. Max actually helped her to get her site up and running.
