Ah, a VN, not something with gameplay. That explains a lot. These can be produced a lot faster. Making these one does not have to care much about scripts, progress logic, events and of course all the multiple outfits and scene variations that you get in Alekseys game are also not important.
But sure, it does not rule out the possibility that the dev is indeed quicker.

Although the gameplay is different, "Ruthless" focuses on choice and provides many options. You can't choose at will. The author also provides a simple mode. Yeah, I have seen my fair share of decision making "games", also commercial ones. By now I grew tired of most, I prefer to actually have to do somethin in a game. There are not many adult ones that offer that. Luckily the whole corruption stat grinding JRPG sandbox thing was replaced mostly with adventure style games. That works better with Ren'Py I guess.
Only very few VNs manage to keep me interested. But I'll give it a try anyway.

I also like games similar to Big Brother, but there are almost no completed ones. I really hope that Big Brother: Another Story Rebuild can be completed.

He sometimes shares some drafts on the sketches channel on discord, probably on Patreon too, but I would not know about that.
(Btw, check out Man of the House for a similar setting. Games with "landlady", older and younger "roommates" are not uncommon, but most are just VNs. MotH is an adventure style game, sadly with a little repetition, some events have to be completed 5 times).
I don't know why you can't transfer from new level to new level. Why pay for it up front till the game is done. I spent hours getting through 0.82 to get to 9.02 or whatever and now I cant have my saves B*******

Until Chapter 1 is finished, he wants to keep the option open to change something at the beginning at the game.
It is possible to set the engine to accept savegames from a different version, but it's not recommended, as it could cause bugs.
If you only want to play once, wait until chapter 1 is finished.

so i picked this up again and :
is there no Eric yet except for the beginning ?
and no Kira as well ?
is it true or is my playthrough broken ?
Are they coming up or are those characters abandoned ?
Also i didn't play this for more than 2 years i think and i feel that the game barely has any new content

If you feel that way, maybe you shouldn't expect too much from this game, that's what I did after the remake.

Actually there is no Eric yet. He only was introduced shortly, his story content will come in chapter 2
Kira hasn't shown up yet, instead we saw the family lawyer being added. I have no information if she will join the cast later, but it would make sense, since there were circling speculations for a long time, that her daughter would join as well.
Some characters will be added, some removed. We don't know about Kiras coworker. Olivia's boyfriend - who was in the original Big Brother - will most likely never be in the game. There is no information about Olivia herself so far.
All that is certain so far, is that Chapter two will be about the Eric conflict and personally I think that Kira will be part of it. Either that or her role has been replaced with the lawyer.

ok thanks. do we know when chapter 2 is supposed to hit in terms of update number ? Also last update was liek 3 months ago. i know dev is slow as fuck but still...
