Well, AFAIK, current "rebuild" version (0.7....) is in the point, when Eric showed up first (it's more like introduction) and never appears again. There're other "opportunities", however, but ch. 1 "plot" from my pov is in the beginning, but there's 0.9... version before the "rebuild", it's much closer to ch.1 complete, since Eric can be kicked out of the house plus there's some further progress with all main characters (but not too far). So, technically, it's second game after 0.9.... release of original "Another Story".

I think the old game is the one i played years ago so no progress at all. I think i will check out the renpy remake version i've been reading around there's alot of content there

Btw, is there any info about whole chapter 1 progress? I mean, in version 0.7 it's just the beginning of the story, Eric showed up once and that's all, but it definitely won't be complete when story arc in general won't come to the point when he's kicked out of the house and the first wave of consequences are handled by Max

0.08 or 0.09 should be it, but there's no official statement.

Btw, don't make the mistake to think that version designations are fraction numbers. They don't have anything to do with the actual progress towards an end goal. After 0.99 there can always be a version 0.100

Maybe I kinda don't understand, are we talking about the confrontation after he gets kicked out and tries to cause trouble, or does the second chapter involve the actual process of kicking him out of the house (something closer to how the original 0.9 ended)?

Around the beginning of CH2, Eric and Kira will arrive and their storylines started, that's what we know. Anything beyond that is just speculation.

We should stop comparing the old build and the new one when it comes to "progress", since the new one already has content that has not been part of the old one. And Erics story was just one story of many in the old build, Alice had several sub stories, Lisa as well. Some of Alice's content has made it into CH1 where other story arcs are postponed.

As I understand it, the final version of each chapter is safe. Once CH2 is in the works, there will be no more changes to CH1. You should be able to start any CH2 version with the last safe game from CH1.
I'm just speculating here however, we still have to see a transfer from one chapter to the next and how that is implemented.

I understand your point bro, but personally, I can't invest my time let alone my money, into something that needs 15 years, knowing 100% the developer will never even get there. But I get you, I'm in the same boat with Summer's Gone, though I know I'll never see it finished, so I just enjoy it for what it is

So a 15 years timeline for completion

so for 1 this is Aleksy, you played the Dark Silver Original, since then a dev "Smirniy" used all of the mods for the DS one and made up his ending, it is complete. Aleksy restarted his "Another Story" which had some things similar to the OG but his own take on other parts. He got to version 9.?.? on that it is still on the front page. It did get to the point of being able to get rid of Eric at least.
