So, after 5 years, the dev managed to reach... v0.09.00, with each new version breaking save files. With character designs from another game, retelling a story that was already made.

Working as intended, BBAS is not a straight foward VN.. He's using a engine feature against saves with potential malware code. This allows him to make changes at any point in the chapter. The same will hapen with CH2.
The savegame before the dinner with Eric will remain compatible, but later savegames won't. If you only want to play once, always wait for the finished chapter.
You can use a engine setting to allow the import of these saves, but they might cause bugs as their story progress might not be compatible anymore.
Actually just lazy people who never read the given information, as this was explained hundreds of times already.
... and a dev who is not just adding stuff, but making improvements on the things he already put in.

This. Things are constantly changing in each update, and the game is a sandbox, not linear. For example, my 0.08 playthrough ended on Day 42. If I'd just used that save file, I would've missed out on the second swimming lesson with Mia at her place, because that event takes place on Day 26 or something.
Dev time is slow, maybe too slow, but Aleksey is pretty consistent at giving previews for updates, and polls for things, for example, there's a poll on Patreon/Discord/Yes that was made about half an hour ago, that is deciding whether Lisa's bikini should be Red like the original, or Pink.
Personally, given that pretty much all of Lisa's other outfits in BB:ASR are brand new, I'd say just give her a new bikini lol, her new one-piece swimsuit looks great, get her a bikini that goes with that I say, and then she can switch between them every couple days or so. Keep it Red though. I don't think the Pink looks good on Lisa. That's just my thoughts though.

The game is easy to play, and I don't know why people need cheats. Many complain that you have to start from the beginning with every update. I've played through this update several times from the beginning (with every fix): V0.08.70, V0.08.71, V0.08.72, V0.08.73, V0.08.74, and 0.09.00, and I'm not complaining. I do that with every update. I don't use hints (I find them superfluous); if you read the hints, the game takes significantly longer.

When Max wakes up at 6:00, always enter Ann's room (there is a chance you will catch Ann getting dressed). Do the same at 7:00. When studying with Lisa (after the lesson is over), always use the option to leave (if available). This will make it midnight, and you can catch Lisa, Alice, or Ann in their rooms (extra points). Enter Ann's room at 21:00and 22:00 (there is a chance you will catch Ann changing). This is controlled by a random generator. But it can increase mood and conviction.
Money
During the first spider event in Alice's room, always take money. When Alice smokes, always take money ($20) if the option is available (every 2 times). Only buy one sunscreen at the beginning and only use it on Alice when necessary to progress (it must be used on Alice 5 times in the entire game). Only use it on Lisa and Ann once so that you still have sunscreen left at the end of the game. Give Alice massage every day, it slightly increases income. Use the money wisely (correct order of events) only then will it be possible to finish the game on day 37
