Unpack the files from the cheat mod in the 'game' subdirectory in your game directory, then read the guide in the cheat mod post.

Your save files are stored on your hard drive, as well. Just download 08. and load your save game from there.

Well, it was to be expected that this update was mostly about friendship paths and Ann, but still ... I was really hoping there would at least be a little advancement when it comes to the couch foot massage (or the blog or anything else really).
