Thanks but don't know anymore, this whole thing has soured me a bit. Thought we could share our stuff without being chastised. Please don't stop posting.
The funny thing is that he brings an argument about using art made by someone else, but almost everywhere since I started learning 3D graphics (which was almost 20 years ago) DAZ3D was considered the tool for lazy people that don't want to learn 3D the proper way, and don't mind being dependent on assets made by someone else (which is very similar to using models trained on someone else art if you think of it).
AI also need a lot of technical knowledge to use it, it also requires tinkering with the prompt, knowing the keywords that were used to train the model, setting up control nets. There's also a lot of possibilities to create different pipelines to achieve the effect you want and it all requires knowledge.
I'm currently using AI to enhance renders made in DAZ so they look more realistic. I'm rendering the scene to different render passes and I feed separate channels to stable diffusion control net (depth masks, color masks, lighting) to create some finer details on the lifeless DAZ characters. So respectfully, fuck this gatekeeping mindset and let's not other people decide for us what is art and what is not.
Need time to think.
