Hi all,

It's been quite a while since I've posted a progress update here and here is the reason why.

First of all, there are some big changes happening right now with my daily job so lately I haven't been getting as much free time to work on my own projects as usual. I won't go into details, but the company is spinning off my department and there is a lot of stuff that needs to be done for our products. Deadlines need to be met and the pressure for that is high. Regardless of that the content for the planned events in 0.11 is done. There are things that need to be polished, but that's not the issue with the release. The issue is that I'm simply not happy how it turned out once I played it. It feels rushed and well... half-baked.

Maybe the cause for this is the fact that I made the plan for the second phase of the game (until the time when you can get rid of Eric), maybe it's my desire to have somewhat frequent releases, maybe it's something else. The fact is that it doesn't feel any more like the project that I started a year and a half ago - something that I can drive on my own speed.

Probably right now you're wondering if BBIS gets cancelled, or abandoned or whatever - the short answer is no. But if you're supporting the game, so you can play monthly updates - what I'm saying is that you need to reconsider your support. 0.11 will be released when I'm happy with the result and have enough repeatable events that reflect the progress with Lisa that you've made in 0.11 - after all that was one of the reasons for the refactoring I did at the start of 2024.

You do remember the Dad in this version died centuries earlier so your NTR fantasy would require a complete rewrite or a dream sequence or something it can't be part of the core plot without a total rewrite

well, the patch on the front page of this thread says version v0.9.4, while the game verison, as the title says, it's 0.10.
actually, the game says it's 0.9.4 after i applied the patch.... did i make the version go backward?

Are you sure you got the right one? The MEGA link that says patch is not an incest patch it is a "bugfix patch" so yes, you made your game go backwards in time.

Delete everything, re-extract use the link that says "incest patch" the PIXELDRAIN link.

I cant use the scrollwheel for going back and forward and Page Up / Page Down arent working for going back and forward either even though it says that those are the binds in the controls. Is that supposed to be like that ?

It should be as simple as extracting the file archive into BBIS/game/

Note that some titles require you to start a fresh playthrough after installing the patch.
So if this doesn't work on an already started game, try a new one.

Overview:
A new take on the 'Big Brother' game.
You're stranded in space with your ship's hyperdrive damaged until you reach a space station of the Federation.
Being the first humans who made contact with the Federation, you're assigned to your own section of the station and two of you (Ann and Lisa) are found to be useful by the station administration and are given jobs.
The other two (Alice and you) are classified as drones,
so you're not allowed to leave your section until the administrator decides otherwise.
The other surviving crew member Kira is going under medical examination because of a parasite detected in her stasis pod.​

I'm fine, it's just too much other stuff happening in my daily job (the one that actually pays the bills ), so not much time and energy left for me to work on BBIS. As I mentioned in the post, in the foreseeable future I can't put nearly as much effort in it as I did till now, meaning updates will take longer and I won't release something just because it's the start/mid/end of the month.

Again - BBIS is not getting abandoned/cancelled, it's just that I'm changing the way I'm driving the project. If you support the game with the idea that you will get (somewhat) frequent updates, it's probably a good time for you to reconsider your support.
