There's only one answer, but it doesn't work. Despite all these questions being asked, I couldn't find any real answers when searching the forum. It looks like a bug in the game.

I found out how to get rid of Mentor's quest issue.
That solved my problem with "Mentor"... Save your game before proceeding!

Press Jump. This is the result:
