I always talk about the same stuff but :

We have enough talent here to build a mod to continue and finish this game. All we need is :

- A writer (I could do it i guess)
- 1 or 2 CG artists (see fan art topic, there's a lot of talent)
- A modder/coder to wrap all this stuff up

I could write scenarios and dialogue with the team, make a quick list/storyboard of the CGs we would need and then it's in the hands of the CG artists (1 artist has one scene). Then it's time for the modder to put everything together and release the update when it's ready.

All we would need is : The latest version of the game (vanilla), a full 100% savegame (provided).

We could also add some cheat features (money, mood, etc).

So this way we could :
- Finish Lisa's story
- Finish Alice's story
- Add some more content to Mom and Kira's stories
- Add some Kate content
- Add some Olivia Content
- Continue Vicky's story
- Pursue Eric's friendship path
- Make more 3somes
- Basically anything we want that does not require new assets.

I would take a lot of time probably but if we work together we can make it slowly but surely, one scene at the time.

I think in practice it would be very hard to continue the game. It's like the movie sequel that has all of the same actors, but a different writer and director. Things look right, but just don't look right. A lot of the game's character (and frustration) boiled down to how DS wrote the characters. Someone new could come in and actually do a much better job of writing, but in so doing wouldn't capture what made the original game stand out for people.

And to be honest, I think the game only needs another update or two to complete it. Lisa's story needs closure, and then maybe another one to wrap things up. I never cared much for the non-family members to begin with, and care even less for them as time goes on.

I never play this game, and I see that there are so many mods, with new and different stories... my questions are: I have to play and complete the basic first, and after the mods, or I can play all in the same time? For the download and installing, I can do for basic and all mods all together at the first time? I am interested only to the mods that add stories, so the mods to istall are...?

There will be no official updates anymore, for sure! But there are some mods showing more content!

All I can tell you is that this game single handedly drew me in to the genre of adult video games and even made me find this forum because I needed answers on how to progress. I don't really know why it grabbed me so. There are other games out there now with better renders and better story but for some reason this game had me clicking until I almost developed "carpet tunnel syndrome" (You'll get the joke if you play the game). I think it's a combination of renders, story and above all programming that just had me clicking and clicking, trying to trigger the conditions to progress and of course there was Eric... What can I say about Eric, I really hated him, like viscerally hated him. Do you know how powerful, as a literary device, it is to have character that you really hate, like really hate his guts? I couldn't put the game down until I had beaten him.

I can't really recommend the game to anyone who hasn't played it because there is no real payoff as the developer has given up on the game. It is a game you'll either love or hate. It won't leave you indifferent though.
