Hi, I wanted to look back into the game but it isn't launching for me. Just laggs the PC without anything else happening. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I used to really love this game. I eagerly awaited every update and even donated a few times - four, to be exact. It might sound a bit funny, but that’s how much I cared back then. It’s a pity there’s no sequel from the same developer.

This dev is batting 1000 on abandoning games, 3 up and 3 abandoned.

Last Patreon message (regarding Glamour) is from 2023, nothing new since then ... so DS is likley MIA.

In short : they had less income due to less support for the game and at the same time had to move away from Russia/Ukraine due to war which increased their cost of living so that the income no longer covered the expenses.

Excuses... If someone has a finished script for the game "Glamor" and all the models, why would they abandon that finished project and start a new one? They need to see this game through to completion. Yes, the income might be less, but it will still be there. With an abandoned game, there won't be any at all. I, alone, from scratch, completed his abandoned game "Big Brother" without breaking a sweat.

Smirniy made a mod that completed the game, is it cannon I don't know yet because I have not played it yet.
If the reviews are correct then I may not even try it because it went counter to what the game was.

Maybe Smirniy should have this moved to the game section as "Big Brother (Fan Completed)" game.
Yikes. I checked out the reviews, and I want nothing to do with that mod, as much as I need closure to the game. The closest I got to that was the "Lisa's Special Day" or whatever the game was. Moburn alone seemed to understand what I wanted as a continuation, as short as it was. I definitely didn't get it from Glamour, which played like a poor fan fiction of Big Brother, despite coming from the same dev. But Dark Silver never really got the incest fetish, or seemed that interested in their own game, especially after fans revolted over Eric, and then Patreon cracked down on incest. Although I think the incest crackdown was just a convenient excuse for DS to abandon BB and change their focus to Glamour.

I am the author of this mod. I do not know where and whose reviews and reviews you have read, but I can say one thing - you cannot judge things based on someone else's opinion, because you do not know these people and their tastes.
It's like a beer, some people like one, others like the other. Who would you prefer?

Maybe he mixed things up?
There is a similar game where mc is on a yacht with his aunt and cousins ... the mechanics is like BB, just without spiders and no Eric, and there is a lot of spanking.

Both of the reviews on this site were apparently triggered by the NTR (which admittedly the original game also had to some degree), so you have to take them with a grain of salt unless you're one of the people who can't handle it.
That said, one of the reviewed mentioned that the mod did nothing to reduce the soul crushing grind of the original game, which is a serious missed opportunity. BB got away with the grind because at the time it was one of the first and most high profile of the Daz Sandbox style games. These days people are far less likely to give the game a pass for making you click through dozens of days in order to advance one story element by one single event. There are so many other similar games to choose from that don't bore you to death. There's little reason to suffer through BB's horrible game mechanics anymore.
As someone else said, take what I said with a grain of salt. I'm one of the people that lobbied to make Eric less inevitable in the original game, and was ecstatic when he was taken out of it. That kind of stuff was not at all what the majority of his supporters wanted at the time, although it seems that the public's tastes have shifted over the years.
And I can make decisions based on specific things mentioned in the reviews. That's kind of what reviews are for, to give you a peek into things. If someone says a restaurant sucks, that I can see as being subjective. But on the other hand, if I hate cilantro, and multiple reviews specifically mention a restaurant uses it in every single entree... well, then I know the restaurant is not for me. That's a pretty safe call to make. Maybe the food is objectively good, but I know that trying the place will just not be a good experience for me. Now, if the restaurant is a favorite restaurant of mine, under new ownership, and cilantro didn't even have a presence before, then I will find that even more frustrating as I read the reviews.
That being said, my apologies for what was a response based out of frustration out of seeing one of my favorite games get another remake/continuation that seems like it took things on a much different course than what I hoped. I'm sure there's a lot of people that loved the mod, but love doesn't tend to generate posts or reviews. Complaining is far easier. I could of course try to make my own mod or game, but I have neither the patience nor talent for it. So keep doing what you do. I don't agree with what I perceive as the direction you took the game, but I won't say it is wrong on an absolute level. It is just wrong for me personally.
