That is a very good question!is the game being abandonned?
its almost 1 1/2 year since the last update
I'm copying that and using it somewhere for sureThat is a very good question!
And you think you are the 1st one to ask? You are wrong, you are not.
You think it's a good idea to ask every week? You are wrong, it's not!
You think you are smart? I'll better not answer this question honest, so yes, you are!
Give it some time. It will be here. Just not on demand. So no patron here to share latest patreon posts?!
This is extremely hurtful towards Porcus. If only you knew the real reason behind it. He has(/had) some personal issues. I can guarantee you he's not "collecting money" and "enjoying life".and he sits and enjoys life. Unsubscribe from him, because he is just farming money and deceiving people, real developers of serious novels (which are presented here) act according to an honest scheme, always write news about updates and progress, and do not post useless posts just to feed with promises and collect money.!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's no release date, because it's impossible to give a date at this point. Giving a random date would be giving "false hope".while there is no precise news about the release date and no evidence that he is doing anything at all
...
There is no precise news, he posts reposts and 2-3 useless animations just to keep his subscribers and continue collecting money from them, give them hope.
Considering the amount of time he feeds his subscribers with promises and at the same time does not release an update for years, he could make this post with animations available to everyone, thereby proving to EVERYONE that he works and the work takes so much time. But he just makes posts the result of the work of 25 animations in a year and a half and in order to see at least something, people must be subscribed. I think it is IN HIS INTERESTS to return a share of trust to his subscribers by giving the opportunity to see for FREE what has been done at the moment, SINCE THE WAITING TIME IS RECORD compared to 95% of developers even on this forum. This is extremely hurtful towards Porcus. If only you knew the real reason behind it. He has(/had) some personal issues. I can guarantee you he's not "collecting money" and "enjoying life".

Also... the last Patreon post contained 23 NEW ANIMATIONS! (examples of a new technique being used)
I don't know where you get "he posts reposts and 2-3 useless animations" from?!
I'm not going to disagree with you that communication could be A LOT better, but what you're saying is not really fair and lacking some facts.

I do not have much to add.In real life, people deal with personal problems all the time , illness, family issues, emotional stress, financial pressure — yet they still wake up, go to work, and fulfill their responsibilities. That’s just how life works. The world doesn’t stop for you, and most jobs don’t wait until you feel better.
But somehow, in the world of visual novel development , especially among indie devs , there’s this recurring pattern: the moment something personal happens, everything comes to a full stop. Updates get delayed indefinitely, communication fades, and months go by with vague promises or emotional posts as explanations.
Look, no one’s saying personal struggles aren’t valid. We all go through tough times. But when you’re running a crowdfunded project and accepting monthly financial support from your community, it stops being just a “passion project.” You're entering a professional space, and with that comes responsibility, transparency, and consistency.
If you can’t deliver, communicate clearly. If you’re stepping away, say so. If the workload is too much, build a team or restructure the project. And if you need time off for personal reasons, at the very least pause your Patreon billing out of basic respect for the people supporting you. Charging your backers while going silent isn’t just unprofessional , it’s unethical.
It’s time VN devs start treating their work with the same level of accountability expected in any other field. Respect your audience , they’re not just supporters, they’re your backers.
Who shit in your cereal. God damn dude. That is a very good question!
