I'm impressed, my dude reworked a prologue from three years ago and didn't go with the usual developer list of reasons why things took the time they did:
- Moved countries (this was one guy I read about...)
- Got a full time job & had less time for gamedev (have seen this a few times)
- Hardware crashed, lacked backups, and started from scratch (at least once, maybe twice)
- Had to take care of family, sudden illness, and the gamedev was the only one who could do it
- Massive illness (cancer, similar...) which took away their ability to write a simple "game on hold," post on patreon for the last three years
With 12 paid supporters, I'm stunned that the number isn't zero, honestly. My dude is giving Ocean vibes, this game is giving Summer's Gone, and while it looks good, is it just me, or does the header image in the first thread use all the same female models with different hair props / lighting?
Maybe I do need to visit an optometrist. I'll be rooting for this game's completion in 2045.
