there is only 1 admin keeping the site alive. kemono needs experienced devs who are willing to volunteer to fix the tools used to rip content from paywall sites. without those experienced devs, the site will remain in its current state indefinitely or until the admin gives up and closes kemono for good.

Perhaps he should. After all yiff.party closing is what prompted the creation of kemono in the first place

there's nothing preventing you from writing up a new patreon scraper and then paying for the file storage of all the rips. Kemono's has been down for like 2 months. What's holding you back?

no devs want to help kemono after the old admin got doxxed and subscribestar threatened to start legal actions against him, which made him leave the site

the difference is that yiff died because the guy who was running it wanted to retire. there was no pressure from the paywall sites nor the creators. he just called it a day and retired. people loved yiff so much that they made the k-site.

the circumstances now are different. a lot of the people running kemono quit, leaving 1 admin behind. the paywall sites they are ripping from are now threatening the k-site. nobody wants to volunteer anymore.

if the k-site dies then it is safe to assume there would not be a successor in place. unless a group of people suddenly decided to grow balls and made their own successor or tools.

Thing is, IF a successor site is made, It probably will be kept under wraps for as long as it can. People not knowing how to shut the fuck up about kem (or talking about it at all) played a huge role in drawing too much attention to it.
