Is the "Return" button working for you, at all? I'm assuming the dev means "Enter". When I get defeated I press the Enter key to return to the main menu, but nothing. I've tried with Backspace and any other key, but nothing again. I can press F2 to reset the game but it's kinda bothersome. Well, it's almost the same tbh.

What it wants you is to hit the key you assign to open your menu ingame...for instance I have it set to "k", so I need to press k to return to my last save point
If you set it to enter it *should* also warp you back...
..just in case maybe doublecheck your key assignments that it doesn't have any conflicting commands/isn't set to two actions at once?

If you had access lower bridge warp go to left, in map is around 2 room after warp point.
Unless you got most item skill like double jump or water spirit blessing is hard to tell the location, so far I only find 7 magicite I remember there one hidden disposal area and two on right part hierarchy area both need double high jump and able to dive on water.
Dusk Crest Tome can be used to destroy purple block below bridge where mermaids constantly jump on you, in that place as well I find some magicite

There two green block (which can't be destroyed with jade feather) I can find one above flood area warp in research building map and one below lower small room warp where you found jellyfish and upside down woman

Not sure this count or not, but I make it to get white thights from Lily and magic fencer boots. So might there a chance to get boss armor?

I tried to make a map because I saw many complaints and I was frustrated myself. I couldn't find something on the internet, so yeah, it took me 2 hours.
1. It consists of ingame screenshots poorly cropped together (some markers and the ingame cursor are visible because of that. Also you faintly see the location I'm standing in at that point)
2. The Map itself is not 1to1 in size between different locations
3. I added all the Save/Warp Points I do have so far with names
4. I added the connected entrances I could confirm for now.
5. If I feel like it, I will update it. No guarantee though.
The picture is too big to upload directly, so here is a link. Saving the image works fine.
The second rendition with more completed Map and new Item Locations

Edit: oh yeah, the Base/Hub is on the bigger map in the middle. The waypoint is called "Cathedral Ruins" it is on the lower border and very close to the left border.

It is in the Magical Research Lab after the bossfight with the mermaid to the left somewhere. I would have to look again to mark it on the map, but I don't have the time for that right now. Perhaps I'll get around to it sometime later today.
Thank you, I will go back check it again. I did defeat the Mermaid, but I didn't find the ability.

Waypoint is flooded room, then left and up and just go left. I had the magic building map still as itself so I marked it for you. I do think that I found it there. I missed it the first time around, too.
