Is this some small side project you spend a couple hours on every weekend or are you full on no-lifing this?
Smaller updates every so often or bigger drops at 6+ months?

I mean yeah, as you said, the dev should be the one who cares about the opinions of the people he is specifically catering to, that's why I said it. Keep in mind that I'm not trying to insult him or his game, telling him to remake it or to stop making it, just observing that maybe the choices of girls (and I guess the worldbuilding of "everyone has sex with everyone, that's just how it is") probably wasn't the best considering his intended audience. Harem fans generally don't like their girls sleeping around, and this game seems to be making it quite clear that the girls sleeping around will be happening, the girls love it and have no plans to stop, and that its a non negotiable part of the game. Which is fine by the way, and the game makes it quite clear that we have no choice in the matter either, so really its no fault of the dev, I'm just concerned that this goes entirely against the ethos (very well known and expected, by the way) of the intended audience lol, its like making an NTR game, but the main character runs a therapy office where he hypnotizes serial cheaters so they fall in love with him and couldn't ever think of cheating on him, and then lives a happy and fulfilled life with them without them ever cheating on him.

The li's are a huge problem. How do we know that once mc starts a relationship with them there just gonna stop being free use?

P.S. I thought that there might at least be one good li but if given up hope on that. Now i am just here to watch the thread
Edit: Dev seems like cool guy/girl welling to take feedback. So if it fells like i came strong it's because the game blindsided me, got some whiplash lol. But i have cooled down now. Regardless of outcome i wish the dev good luck and to have fun making his/her first game cause sometimes you know lessoned learned.

Edit: Plot/loopholes is just a way some could see the current sex scenes. There are no tags for flashbacks/dreams of li's past lovers that i know of and i do not think dev did this intentionally.

Surely you joking, right ?? Cuz if you don't, and the dev really doesn't give a shit about feedback, they won't be in a business like this one for too long. Not saying they should write their story how I or anyone else here specifically want them to, but whenever I see a promising story like this one, lots of insanely attractive women and the, so far, promise of a harem for the MC (things might change in future updates) and lots of 'revelations' like the ones in this story, I can't help but want to grab my popcorn and see how bad the criticism in the thread is gonna be. Can't help it, I'm a bad boi like that.

I get why most harem fans would be pissed by what we find out about most of those girls in the story, some of which are supposed to be damn LIs for the MC, the future head of his house, not some ugly virgin loser desperate to score his first pussy, ffs, got disappointed myself a few times already until I accepted the harsh fact that every single one of them is a slut with crazy high mileage or a literal whore for the 'plot', BUT devs do owe their fans complete honesty and transparency about their story. It's the only thing their actually forced to do, IMHO, so everyone knows what to expect from the game and they can tell the story however they think it's best and for the audience they specifically want to cater to. A win-win situation for everyone, there's no need for the usual 'technicalities' to avoid criticism after taking the money.

I myself consider all those women attractive asf, love the piercings and their risqué flirty (ok, slutty) attitude, however, this is me, other users might have a problem with these things, more so after the dev's statement of wanting the story to be about MC making his own harem as he becomes the big bad boss, so if non NTR/romance peeps are supposed to be the dev's main target audience, they're doing it wrong and only accomplish to shoot themselves in the foot with a lot of this kinda stuff.

the scene with MC's mom, as I understand it, is shown from her youth, so it's not NTR, but why show all this to the player, I don't know. And this game really screams red flags. It just seems like it's going to be a fuck fest.

It's a short flashback scene from her youth, yes, the guy there fucking her is most likely MC's dad, so no NTR, but still an unnecessary scene to show to the player in a supposed (optional ) harem game, when she could always make new, better memories, lots of them even, with the MC in the present.

I don't want to rule out NTR/Sharing completely but I have no plans for it being a major theme. However, I also don't want to rule it out as a possible minor optional branch down the road.

About the big bad boss vampire momma... she's fine asf, a perfect 10 in my book. Hope she's at least fuckable, by the MC only ofc, and if you want to go down a femdom path with her, it's easily avoidable and has a maledom and romance alternatives.

Yeah its gunna be a fun one, the dev was in the thread a few days ago so I can only hope he's actually reading these messages, though the game makes it very clear that the women do sleep around, and aren't going to stop when they join the mc's harem, its so heavily ingrained into the game, the characters, and the worldbuilding, that i'm 99.999% sure that the dev is sure of this direction and won't change it at all (which is fine, its his game not ours) I just think advertising the game towards harem fans was the wrong move, and he should have been going for the swingers and sharing crowd, even if the game is meant to be more romantic than they normally would enjoy (even though I doubt its going to be any kind of romance in the slightest considering the state of the game)

Too many people are hung up on genre. I don't like NTR either, but dev if you tell a good story then i'm in. I love that vampire shit, and so far i like it. Also, kudos to you for making that decision to change your life and learning/starting the development of a VN. I have had a pretty good vampire story percolating in my brain for a couple years now that i'd like to make but taking those first steps is hard for me.

I'll add on by saying that the harem tag is dichotomous to NTR. They can certainly exist together, but the level of effort it requires to tell a satisfying story is an unnecessary hurdle to add to one's first project.

i see effort put into world building with all the history lessons we're made to sit through, but nothing at all was put into establishing these characters. our main archetypes are "childhood friend" whore, "maid/servant" whore, "you made so little impact that idk how i'd even describe you" whore, "older intimidating milf" whore, "twin" whore and "i definitely don't even remember you exist to even add you to this list" whore.

you could spend however long you'd like setting the stage, if the actors are trash, nobody's gonna watch. i don't think a lotta people are gonna be half as interested in vampire lore as they would (want to) be in the characters, but so little love was poured into them that you'd be hard pressed to leave any impact with what's here. like, i get that it's a "harem" porn game, but the way the dad's death was just dismissed like that, after the man got absolutely no screen time or dialogue whatsoever, is honestly unintentionally hilarious.
you were WAAAAAYYY better off making the "big secret" the fact that he was dead already, only a select few knew, the maid whore let the mc know and BOOM, character moment where you get the chance to show that they actually have SOME semblance of a connection between them by having her be a source of comfort in a moment of grief. A much more impactful event than small talk...followed by more vampire lore. That's assuming mc was supposed to give a fuck about him at all though. idk, i'm just guessing by the fact that he seemed upset his father didn't greet him when he returned home...and the fact that he's his father's legitimate son...and his father pays for his lifestyle...and is present in his life and not a deadbeat.

here's a fun challenge for the horndogs in the comments; play though this game and picture all of the women fully clothed. then tell me how much of a fuck you give about anything that's on screen.
personally, i don't enjoy having it in my face all the time, so it takes me out of it when the characters on screen are covering themselves with a handkerchief's worth of fabric. it leaves nothing to the imagination, i don't get to unwrap my present, you've just handed me my gift...and the price tag is still on it...and it's second hand...i hope you got a receipt

As someone looking for a story (as many players will be) it really just feels like keys are being jingled in my face to distract me from the fact that the writing is just vapid. chatgpt could write this. i know that's a foul thing to say, and i would've kept it to myself, if it weren't for the fact that i'm actually convinced that some of this might really be ai. it just feels DEAD and i refuse to believe that i'm the only one who got a lifeless feel from a good portion of the dialogue.
if it's sex you're selling, that's fine, but this is the visual novel format, and i really wish more developers would treat it as such. you've gotta come better than this. you should want to be better than this. i know, i know, it's just getting started, but so much for first impressions man. if this is setting the tone for what's to come, i can't say i'm expecting much.


also, i will be adding a +1 to the echo chamber of commenters who are highlighting the fact that this will NOT work for the harem genre. this COULD make a decent misogynist simulator though, cus i will say, i found myself wanting nothing more than to walk myself out of just about every conversation in this game. i would not want my dick anywhere near these things. the game might've gotten a genuine laugh out of me if the twins told him "we can read your mind" and he just did a 180 and fucking left without a word lol
