Well phone style games are nice and all but they are also limited in the range of possibilities they can offer, after a while they do get quite repetitive. As for AI based games, I don't have any hateboner against AI, it's just that in my experience with AI based games, the dev didn't bother putting much attention into the narrative structure, I believe this happens because with hand drawn art, dev must carefully plan what each CG will depict which makes him consider how the plot will go with more attention. With AI based art you can just make stuff up as you go along, there is not much price to pay for it. Blurring the walls was the great promise, an AI based game that seemed to have a good and well planned plot, which is why I am sad to see what has happened to the project.
