I am genuinely excited for the remaster. I know there is a lot of hate but that's just cause people care that much.

Even if it's a remaster I feel a lot of the old scenes will have changed enough visually or they are completely reworked narratively we can enjoy them again as if they are new.

For me at least I think it'll feel like getting 5-6 months worth of new stuff all at once.

Anyways, I hope that post is more concrete in it's update. And personally I've very excited for the remaster. It sounds like there will be a lot of changes, including the branching path system from the beginning. So, we might get alternate versions of existing scenes for different paths...?

tori is incapable of giving a straight-ahead answer, so instead you have to read between the lines like a WWII codebreaker

the first update said "i'm traveling on the 14th and will be gone for a full week after. i MIGHT finish the update before then and release it..." and anyone who has followed this dev knows that when he says "i might be able to..." or "i'm aiming to..." it means it's not happening. this post is foreshadowing for a delay post

today's "just a quick check-in" update is the actual delay announcement. "yea the 14th ain't happening, i'll finish the update when i get back" is what he's saying here

so this means: remaster will not drop before the 14th, he will be gone for a week after that, which means AT BEST he will come back in late november, and even then, he will still have more work to do before the remaster is done

because the new content is still not finished yet, my guess is that the dev struggle to make the 0.6 update, then he decided to make a remaster as an excuse for the delay, because if he had finished the 0.6 update he should be able to release 0.6 first before the remaster, or at least release it at the same time as the remaster, but nope, from his word it indicate that remaster and 0.6 will be seperated

Well, but the joke is that it's not coming out bud No one is talking about the content of the game anymore here. I would still be on patreon if he was not lying 24/7.

Imagine if at release date a creator is telling you that he's starting a remaster. (the update he's been teasing the months before, released in a matter of days). And 2 months later that he's releasing the remaster without the update on the weekend (lie) but you discover 1 month later that he was not even close to being ready to release anything. And from August to now he's faking it by saying it's very close (we talking days or weeks at best everytime).

The entire thing is the dev doing the worst choices with the worst communication. If you lie to people then you can't expect everyone to move the fk on.

And ofc if he ever releases something I'll be waiting here, I was a sub so I liked the game lol. But that's in no way the issue here.
