I'm probably going to restart the game when the remaster drops. I am still a bit concerned about it though I hope the game still has the same feel to it.

I don't mind waiting if when it's released there's enough content, but all games I've seen having reworks that early in development I don't have good things to say about...
The best way to redo earlier parts of the game I think it's by working on it alongside new content, so the dev can "sneakly" change it when a new update drops.
What is going to change, by the way? I played the game and didn't find anything bad on it.

While I agree that the new one is better, I don't think going back and fixing those things are a good idea at this point.
The old ones were good enough for me and this visual changes can be done in increments as to not take too much development time.
But well, let's just believe in the dev and wait for the next release!
This was my first netorase game of these new 2D/AI batch and I liked it a lot, so I hope the game continues to be great.
Especially damning as if you saw, the moonripple dev remade a bunch of the scenes and renders from past releases and updated the graphics; stuff like when they were driving around - all this without even mentioning it or making a big deal!

I honestly believe the worst part of all this is the "Remake should be ready by sunday" which was 4 days away at the time. I can see missing a goal by a few days but its been 2-3 weeks. It's really hard to go from 4 days to 3 weeks unless something terrible happened like his PC melted mid-image generation. 6.0 taking a long time is whatever to me. Idk what all he's adding and he's also now making 2 paths worth of content. I think at this point it's going to be a lot more than a visual overhaul. In addition to new scenes he added it seems like Tori reimagined the existing ones (new perspectives and maybe some narrative changes) so now they play a lot different.
Also there were things Tori was hoping to change while he was releasing the game and this remaster gave him a chance to implement it. I think a lot of people think he's just making things look nicer which is why they are upset it's taking a while. But I genuinely think this "remaster" is more like a "reimagine" where like most of the game is changed. It's easy to see why it would take longer if say he got to a scene that didn't fit in the new remaster and decided to make it from scratch in order to better align for the future.
Overall I'm thinking the narrative will remain kind of similar to the old but the game will play almost like a brand new thing. We're going to get 5 updates worth of content at once. Which even if you know where the story will stop is very exciting and definitely worth the wait.

I mentioned this in my own post but I think that's the point. I believe he's quite literally recreating most if not all the game from scratch. So although some of the scenes and narrative might be similar a lot of the original content would be reimagined to better align with what he wants. People need to stop thinking of this like Tori just updating the graphics of the old content and moving on. But rather look at it more like we're about to get 5 updates worth of content of a new game. Then it would make sense if this took a similar length of time as the original content.

This is how you see this situation, but I have completely different opinion. For me it is far worse than if he just update graphic part. You know why? Because he is just too much of perfectionist. It's maybe a good quality in some situations, but not in this case in my opinion. Why? If combine it with his multiple statements about outdated AI-tools being main reason to make remake, it's mean that he could just doing remakes again, again and again each time he feels something off, or tools will get outdated again (which would obviosly happen with how fast AI-technology developing). And he never listen to his subscribers. Platinum subscription only gives you access to additional previews and earlier updates. He never start any poll or something to let supporters make choices for project they support. I was platinum supporter until 9th of October and saw all things happen in Discord, so I know what I am talking about. And I just see no reason to support him anymore due to all this reasons. Money is not issue, but if someone use my own money to spit me in face (metaphorically), when why should I give it to such man?
Also I have now zero trust to his words. He is either lying 24/7 or just really very bad at planning, and his perfectionism only makes the situation worse many times over.
P.S. I would probably accept remake if he say it from very start. But now when he promise to release 0.6.0 and even start coutdown to it after all teasing and building up hype previews he posted on Patreon in july and august, he suddenly announce doing remake first and I just lost all interest and thrill towards this project. Waiting is not an issue for me either, because I have a lot of things to do IRL so months fly by for me almost instantly. And now that I've figured out with AI-arts generation, I basically don't need any more updates. I'll create my own sequel for free and much faster than Tori ever could.

you keep giving the benefit of the doubt but this dev does not deserve it. he's not working on the game. it's very obvious.

-None of this is relevant to the issue in my comment though. Tori himself, not others, stated the game would be ready around 4 or so days ish. You don't look at your available workload, how much time went into what you've already accomplished then make an estimate so off the mark that what you thought would take 4 more days ends up being 4 more weeks unless someone terrible happened.

-No.. what people need to do, is stop thinking that they are bringing new information to the conversation when they are just recycling information that's been common knowledge for months. And no, people will not look at it LIKE they are getting 5 updates of new content because it's NOT 5 updates of new content.
-No. A remake doesn't require as much dev time because the core of the story, scenes and dialogue are already completed. Even if you are changing things within an old scene during a remake is a simpler process than creating one from scratch with nothing to use as a base to look at. Rewriting dialogue is easier than writing dialogue from scratch.

He's teasing a fake release since August, and we all know it now. He showed the progression this month and it was not ready at all. So imagine August. Why is he not pausing bills like most creators do ? (HangoverCat does it this month, NTRMAN does it all the time etc etc...). You know why. If he's constantly lying that's for a reason.
That's my take too... if it "isn't about the money" then why not pause payments until you have an update?

Easier said than done. "Excuse me, Mr.Torimiata. I am contacting you to ask, could I please have my $15 back for the 6 months you've gone without an update for the NTS game disguised as an NTR game masquerading as an NTS game? Pretty please sir? I need that money."
I'm not a very prideful guy but I'd just accept my losses, cancel the membership, and move on rather than beg for a refund. I still think the game is great and I hope we get an update one day but I've lost all trust in this dev.
That's exactly what I did back when. Ask him for refund, and directly say what I think about him. Get my money, learn AI and now doing my own Ayumi content for myself. But I am not planning to resubscribe when update come out. I won't give him even cent until he resolve his schedule and planning issue. As well as start to listen advises from subscribers, but lets start just from planning/schedule problem.
If he won't release anything until end of 2024 when I admit that you were right.

Is there a status from dev why it takes now longer between updates? The game is not that complex.

They can't share you progress because i don't think dev put much effort to push the progress, Question like yours will get from ball-licker like " No! he work hard In Back-Ground ,or Community got this game for Free why complain." i Call this bullshit because all Popular NTS Game Now already release 2-3 time already, while here we are hoping and waiting even Dev already show he is kind of hypocrite. i have high hope this project will turn out like Girl friend Unfettered Fans Just can't admit it.
i am sure We get Remaster before 2025 Valentine Day and 6.0 Update before GTA 6 come out. or guess what? here come the Abandon Tag with Popular Excuse Like "Dev is Exhausted From Complaints''.
