Just a thought, instead of forcing the use of 'f' to go to full screen, just add the ability to select 'windowed or full screen' and let us maximize the window. Unless I am sadly mistaken, that customization is already a part of a newly created Renpy game. Devs decide to delete that ability for whatever reason. Personally, I prefer windowed so I have control over what is visible on my desktop screen.

However, I hate that I am forced to view in a resolution less than my graphics and monitor can handle. My setup is 4k with a 32in monitor. Instead of removing a capability, allow users to make their own choices.

'Testing the Waters' Arc has been released

I worked really hard this update as it is THE chapter that best represents the core exploration theme of the game as the arc shows the turning point in the story for Ayumi and officially makes the escalation at a similar level, if not above, the OG, depending on your choices.

The fact the game is still on Day 3 is a good thing - as some users here already noted. It just opens more opportunities for Day 4 from the start of the day.

It was fairly difficult to handle the interweaving of content (branches that split then merge back multiple times) and I can't wait to have the routes feel more independent as that will simplify the writing and development.

It's quite possible most people won't see all content in the update. That's to be expected as you can't have a game about exploration without meaningful choices.

Appreciate anyone that is enjoying the game. I'm always keen to hear about those that play/played the OG and are now playing the remake.

Even the bulky writing from earlier releases has been toned down and cleaned a bit more.




Good catch. I will fix that for v2 but a slightly earlier save should make that go away - before MC turn in the Marco Polo game. That happens because last version introduces a new way to calculate TQ/SP points and it broke a couple of saves.

I am beyond excited to see new content growing from the old, and I can only cheer you on as you keep developing. It would be a tragedy if something occurred that would stop this story's development. Please do keep kickin' ass, Tori!

for the 100th time, did the revamp finish already and we passed the point when she started dancing in the middle of the party with that guy friend of his about year and half ago ?

No diss to OG fans (because I still hope you give the remake a shot...) but the party obsession here is pretty funny lol it's literally the holy grail for this thread.

Remake timeline is completely different after mid Day 3. Even I don't know exactly what will happen.

So much has changed that I only have my high-level plans to guide me that far ahead as I'm already having to plan chapter by chapter for the exact scenes.

Tempted to have them miss the party entirely just for the chaos.

Exactly! The goal is to make it feel more grounded so there's no point to expect extreme content so early in the story. It would completely break the characters.

Part of the challenge in telling this story is make it sound believable.

I actually have nothing against fast paced novels if they are well written but this one was never that.

I am beyond excited to see new content growing from the old, and I can only cheer you on as you keep developing. It would be a tragedy if something occurred that would stop this story's development. Please do keep kickin' ass, Tori!

Been a minute since I played the OG, but revamp is roughly half to 2/3 of the way, compared to what the OG story had... The pool party night with Ari is finishing up. Then in the OG, there was the "game" afterward, then the changing room scenes, then the party stuff kicked off...

Edit: as for update it was little progress the choice actually meaning something on this time.
Overall update was good. also What terrace did something like NTR or NTS to Ayumi.

What if he decided there is no party or changing room. Does that mean the game will never surpass the remake in progression? See how that logic doesn't make sense either? It's a separate game. Progress isn't judged based on this version finally using similar background CG pixels as a different version.

Of course - then that wouldn't be a 1-to-1 marker of content. But we've seen this difference far more often used as a defensive rationalization than a genuine difference in gameplay which can't be compared.

But the party this time around will look completely different to last time with Ayumi being corrupted so early it's not even really the same thing.
