you don't, you should just tag the thread to be notified when/if it gets updated and get on with your life.
Zip seems to have gone awol again, last contact was 21st of July where he said he was in the testing phase, so that means the next update could be anytime between next month and never, it wouldn't be the first (or even second/third time) it's taken around a year to get the update that was "ready"

That's the understatement of the millenium.
This particular version of the game (which is the 5th remake of the original game... none of which ever got completed, including the original) has been "reworked" and restarted from scratch twice now, each rework making less progress than the previous one.
No, he claimed on Discord that he will finish the update in some days (?!)

ZIP has strong tools and very good skills but it seems he invested too much in image quality that the game progress and content can not continue because he is exhausted and discouraged by the reviews from players! He just invested in the wrong direction, if the image quality is just a little better than the original BBS or even keep it the same it is still very good!
