If you really want to give your own go at yet another Bobby game, you don't need a 'creative director' elected lol, you can start right now by making a thread, contributing, and inviting others to contribute. Most people just don't want to, because they know it's too hard for them. Or not worth their time.

It's a little from column "A" and a lot from column "B", Zip has shot himself in the foot several times by stating he was going to upload imminently (a couple of times he even stated he was currently uploading) before disappearing for several months.
But then there are a lot of toxic posts, some legitimate (complaints about failing to deliver when promised), and a massive amount who don't understand that Zip is rebooting a Mod of "Bad Bobby Saga by RAinces" and not the actual game "Bad Bobby Saga by RAinces". It is insane how many think/thought it was his job to finish what RAinces started.

My guess Zip is struggling to figure out how to make a game (both technically and in terms of connecting different scenes), when it was just a Mod all he had to do was to tweak a few scenes to suit his own taste, but when RAinces vanished and he was left to try and figure it out for himself so he settled into schoolboy mode of promising his homework would be ready "tomorrow" after a night of cramming, but when tomorrow came, "oops the dog ate it"... I imagine him having panic attacks as he slips further and further behind the anticipated goals, drinking himself into a stupor reading the toxic posts (either that or he reads those post and has a "fuck you" moment).

Like Schrödinger's cat. until Zip "releases" the game, it's dead, but it could also be alive because it's still in development.

I might as well ask why you come here and read this despite the lack of content about the game. The topic has a life of its own, and everyone writes whatever they want. That doesn't mean people live for this game alone.

My guess Zip is struggling to figure out how to make a game (both technically and in terms of connecting different scenes), when it was just a Mod all he had to do was to tweak a few scenes to suit his own taste, but when RAinces vanished and he was left to try and figure it out for himself so he settled into schoolboy mode of promising his homework would be ready "tomorrow" after a night of cramming, but when tomorrow came, "oops the dog ate it"... Yes, the poor guy is so stressed he can't meet his deadline... for the next year in a row. But even you, Zip's biggest defender on this forum, can think clearly.

Full disclosure Bud, I wrote that note, not Zip, I was paraphrasing what I have gathered from Zips Discord about his intentions (in an effort to lessen the spam flooding the thread about the "bugged game") While I don't agree with the trolls on this thread, Zip has thoroughly earned a reputation for being a flake who has made statements about updates that are "ready" but don't arrive on several occasions over the last couple of years (his redeeming quality IMO is nobody is forced to subscribe to him, to date he has shared his updates freely, subscribing to him really only buys you early access... IF the updates happen of course).

He was planning to return the game to Sandbox in 0.15.503, but that got pushed back to 0.15.504 so who knows what that means for the restoration of the old content (I doubt the old content will be restored in one batch anyway BTW).

Because I don't hate the game or the dev and I'll get it for free either way when it's released. People who leave hate comments constantly and won't go away, I just have to scratch my head. They're clearly fans in denial.

You'll find hate comments in every thread, and this creator clearly deserves them more than anyone else, as there are so many more. Personally, I'd prefer this thread be closed and the creator forgotten, but that's not going to happen.

I'm just judging the people who hate the game and won't go away. That's it, really. It's like, if I hate Starbucks coffee, but keep going into the shop to bitch about it... it's pretty stupid, don't you think?

The funny thing is, the people who keep coming back to moan about this game will say how gullible and stupid the people who pay the dev are, that they're just encouraging him to milk or whatever. But how can you claim any superiority by returning over and over to eat up every update crumb you can, even though you "hate" it. So, it's kind of like being obsessed with a woman who rejected you or something, you know? You're not the one being flattered there, she is. Know what I'm saying?

Plus, free publicity; you keep updating the thread, new people see it and click, more potential for subs. That's the opposite of what you want, I'd think.

I just wish that all the devs working on the various and multitudinous Big Brother games would drop those projects, pool their talent and resources, and focus on this game instead.

I gotta say I disagree strongly, the only one who should finish any given game is the original creator IMO, I think people should take inspiration from where ever they can find it, but focus on making the game that turns them on. Having a committee of Devs tripping over each other, arguing about the things that inspired them and the things they want changed is as likely to cause rage quitting as anything else. ("Too many cooks spoil the broth" is a saying for a reason)

I think Zip in particular needs to develop a team first, A Coder to build the core of the game, A Writer to draft the flow of the Game, and someone to smack him across the back of the head whenever he declares an update is nearly ready.
