Apparently it doesn't work for Catalina, so your best bet would be to use a Virtual Machine to run Windows 7/8/10. You can use VMWare and get yourself a W7-W10 ISO to run it, cause for what I've read, Wine no longer works with Catalina.

Yes, Martha's the mom. Without the guide, around 10 hours maybe? With the guide around 4-5 without speeding through it and cheesing the "Spend the day with..." option. Granted reaching "Max Level" won't allow you to access scenes immediately, you still need to unlock the scenes in order as there's a progression on it, hence why the guide speeds up the process.
Extract the game's compressed file again, after that, install/reinstall the RTP (link in the 1st post, below the "Downloads" area) and try to save the game. I recommend you skip the intro to check if it works. If not, make sure you didn't extract the game inside a system folder (the ones that require Admin. Access) and just in case check if the folder is marked "Read only" by accessing its Properties window.
Lol, you're gonna be waiting for a while. We already have the info, it's been given several times. Expect fairly small updates like twice a year at most. Even his other game, the so-called main priority and focus of his work, hasn't been updated for 7 months.
