That is a glitch that was reported and that the Doc posted that he had fixed waaaaayy back on page

Look at the change log and tell me which version you have completed or are currently working through, list the stats also.

Ok so, I lost all my data and don't feel like playing through the entire game again, yet when I download the save and place it in the folder (I think I did I'm a noob at this rpg folder stuff) nothing happens and the saves don't come up.
Can someone help?

That doesn't look right.
You need to put the 2 saves inside the game folder "BT_the_Manor_0.10_NoRTP" .
Where the folders Audio, Fonts, System, Changelogs.text, game.exe, game.ini, Game.rgss3a are.
You need to put the save files there.
Also make sure the save files look like this " Save01.rvdata2 " and "Save02.rvdata2".(no quotations)
Not sure why,in the screenshot you gave, only 1 of them is an rvdata2 file and the other one isn't.
So download the saves again and then extract the 2 saves to the folder i described above.
No but the next update should have some.

Good job, but if they have the latest version the folder should be "BT_the_Manor_0.10Fix_NoRTP"

From that screenshot it almost appears that you haven't unpacked the RAR file, Are you sure you have played before?
First you need to unarchive the download file, once oy do that you will place the 2 save files into the folder with the name listed above.
If after checking the correct folder for the existence of the save files whose names should be :
Save01.rvdata2
and
Save02.rvdata2
and you still do not have a continue option when you start the game move on to the next section.
I am also assuming you have played before based on the request and did not uninstall the game engine?
If you did, or just for good measure download the game engine and reinstall, RGM VX ACE RTP Package:

Last simple question: Are you starting the game by clicking on the actual EXE from the newest download or are you using a shortcut that you created? If the latter and you put the save files in the new directory but your shortcut points to the old directory, that would be your problem.
If that doesn't do it more investigation may be needed.

pj13 & SomeDamnedDude Thxs for the help, was trying all night but could get nothing to work. You're right in that I've never done file saving before, yet I have planned this game before, usually the game saves automatically for me so I don't know where the error came from this time. Hopefully it never happens again,
so I fucked up a little bit. I got tired of the grind and just downloaded the 2 complete saves around the time Mia joined, but it doesn't have the context that leads to the state events or the police titjob event, and it doesnt have the halloween event at all.
Im a bit curious how MCs relationship with his mom got like that ETC
Anybody have a save before the states?
Or able to fill me in on what I missed? I basically had everything except the states, special events, and Merchant titjob

READ the ENTIRE OP, Read the Change logs - all of them, consider them like a road map to the scenes added in each version, Read the entire Walkthrough PDF from the OP - here you will learn that scenes are stat dependent, Read the entire Guide maintained by Golem98 also on the OP - here individual characters and how to get their scenes are discussed as well as the state system.so I fucked up a little bit. If you do not figure it out from there, Start at your post and read backwards through the thread until you encounter information that helps.

Honestly, I liked it better before it was "fixed". Maybe it'll grow on me.
Now all the posts referring people to the Guide maintained by Golem98 and the Walkthrough PDF are worded incorrectly.

I'm super new to this thread / site but I have been playing this game for a while and when the new update came out I needed help finding scenes and so here I am.
Don't worry, I'm not going to ask here.. I read the walk through
I just want to report a bug that I'm not sure if it is known or not
Where you get the boob job scene in the basement. If you go there when mom is trying to get the spices and you have not done the boob job scene that day it acts as though mom is in the basement and you get the dialogue that would normally start the boob job scene but nothing happens.. you just select "scare" or "nothing" and then you can walk away.. the game does not freeze or anything.
If you did the boob job scene that day and you go there when mom is getting the spices then you get the dialogue that would normally show up if you did the boob job scene and then tried to do it again.. the game does not freeze here either.
That is all and sorry if this was the wrong place for this

Are you running the BT_The_Manor_010FIX_NoRTP version or the older BT_The_Manor_010_NoRTP version?
If you are running the former, you might have discovered a bug. Most of the people here are just working on playing just the new scenes when a new version comes out so if a bug is introduced into things from earlier in the game they aren't noticed as quickly.
This wasn't the case before the Doc (and possibly some other contributors) made the saves compatible from one version to the next (started ~Ver .06 IIRC). Then everyone had to restart every release and such bugs or glitches were caught quickly after release.
@Oseo Bones, care to weigh in here old friend?

As far as i know it said i need to be with Doyle, it doesn't work. I have the latest version and i can't get to the attic because i can't remove the large window.
