Currently I really believe his work ethic is something like that:
He works every day, but probably only for 1-2 hours. The rest of the day he uses for other stuff (playing games, hangout with friends or something like that). He does not work on the weekend.
He gets payed every month and it doesn't matter if he releases something or not. So time is on his side.
In this time he will just work a bit until his games will get the abandoned tag. And as we all know, this could be up to 8 months until that happens (last update took around that time).
But just when his games will receive the abandoned tag, he will magically be ready to release a new version of the game and gets his abandoned tag removed. Boom another 6 or something like that months to chill around and prepare another update.
I'm now 100% convinced this is how he works. So Bones is using a system flaw to his favor.
The only way to overcome this, would be to tag abandoned games faster. Two months no update? Abandoned tag. Also keep track how often the games is getting tagged. If it happens 2 times in a row. The game is regarded as dead or a zombie (new tag zombie, so everyone know, this game shows an "alive" status every few months).
Maybe also it should be based on the amount of subscribers. A smaller sub base could mean it's just a hobby. But when you reach an amount of subs that makes a good living or at least 30-40% of a monthly income in a 1st world country, it should be considered as full time job (and then tag it every 2 months).
To make the admins keep track on this, there should be more tags added to the games.
