May 12: Weekly Update
Hello all!
Time for a weekly update to keep the schedule going!
As a recap, Chapter 1 has been released for the public on Friday, and I hope everyone has enjoyed it so far! A lot of time and effort has gone into it, and I hope it shows. As a follow-up, I would like to do a 4-Month retrospective and go over some things that worked and some things that may change depending on feedback I have received!
4-Month Retrospect:
When I first started the project, I followed a development roadmap with milestones and target goals to hit (

). Overall I feel it went well, and I was able to meet my weekly goals and provide a (hopefully) meaningful progress update. I think this model works with what I have planned, and I won’t be doing any major changes to the workflow.
To provide a little background, Chapter 1 (and to some extent the Prologue) was developed while I am working full-time hours. In addition to this when I started, I had virtually zero coding experience, and I am not a professional writer or editor (hence some fair criticisms I had received!) With these factors in consideration, I feel the game is overall in a good state as a solo-project and I am excited to continue its development.
What next:
I will begin working on Chapter 2 starting tomorrow, and use the outline as mentioned. I will try to use and consider all the feedback I had received, but I cannot promise perfection. Weekly updates will occur, and much like Chapter 1, Character Bios will appear closer towards the predicted release date (see

Bug Fixes and Patches:
There are a couple of minor bugs involving gallery and replay options – I have fixed the issue on my end, but I am thinking of what is the best way to deliver the fixes without necessarily re-downloading the entire game. For PC users I may opt to provide a simple solution to extract and replace the affected script files. All that would need to be done is loading a previous save and playing through those scenes to unlock them in the gallery gain properly.
Unfortunately, I do not believe that solution will work with Mac / OSX users, in which case I will provide a fixed version of the game (v0.10.02) sometime soon (again, the bugs are very minor and do not affect the stability or playability of the game).
Appreciation:
Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for checking out the game. Love it or hate it, I appreciate your time to give it a fair shake, and I hope to continue in growing the community and quality of the game.
As usual, if there are any questions, feedback, or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me through Discord or through DM on Patreon.
Have a wonderful weekend all, and I will see you next week!
