Well, I'm definitely not saying there isn't an audience for it. Just that the majority of the start of the game isn't that—it's much more chill with the type of content (but still interesting and well done), and allows for a lot of "softer" choices. Then suddenly in the later updates it's "extreme" or nothing. IMO it's natural that the people who were into the game for years and attracted to the softer stuff would be put off by that, especially if you constantly chose loving treatment, and then it hard cuts to fuckdoll-style content. But I'm happy for the people into it, more power to ya.
All I really want is for the earlier kind of content to come back, and/or keeping the "softer" routes.

Not wrong, the game from the begining is totally different then what it is now. Earlier the game was about getting to know characters and places. Remember the Principal, who hasn't had content in what 2-3 years now? Same goes with the Teacher remember her?

The game has devolved into what I call a fetish checkbox simulator. Where the goal seems to be, to get as many fetishes packed in the game as possible without a care to the story. Remember the story? Does anyone at this point?

The issue now is that the new content is all or nothing extreme or not. It's honestly a mess. There are so many dead end locations on the map and so many new characters that old ones haven't been touched in years.

We are coming up on the game's 5th year and where are we at this point?

False. That depends entirely on the dev working on it. This game gets a bit better with that as the story progresses but it is fact that there are other HS games that have much better lighting than this game does. As an avid fan of this game.

Lately it gotten a bit longer and is now close to half a year. Although the newer updates have much better animations than it used to have, so the increased dev time kinda makes sense.
