Just place the batch file in the same folder as the game's .exe, activate it, press 1 to extract RPA archives, press Y or N, wait for it to do so, then exit. Inside the 'game' folder there should be an 'images' folder where ever CG, icon, video, etc is located for you to view. Zero knowledge of renpy required.

I see no difference between the two, except one is 10x easier to access. Can't help you, there.
