Well, from what I’ve read, he took it calmly—maybe he even expected something like this. Seems like he plans to just keep working as usual, focusing on Patreon.

Of course it's sad we won't be able to enjoy the game on Steam but I can also understand it from Steam's perspective; if AI art is virtually indistinguishable from real life it might be better to forbid it entirely, at least until there will be automated tooling available to tell the difference. For now it would probably cost them a lot of resources to verify of every game if it's truly all rendered from original art or if it's too much based on an IRL person.
Well I was excited for their new project but the heavy use of AI is so disappointing.
Played the current release and you can see it in E V E R Y animation and basically every image showing MC's face.
Fuck these lazy ass devs.

We will have to wait until May 5 to play the new version of the game or we will have a hero that will throw a link to the new version of the game.

The ban from Steam is ridiculous, the motivation does not hold up, as well done as it is, it is still quite clear that the characters are 3D models that the AI has given a little push, if the use of AI is not banned on the platform regardless, and it is not, the game would have nothing wrong with being released on the store.
Unfortunately once again the subjectivity of the reviewers on Steam has been shown, and in this case also their incompetence, and made another victim, and this time unfortunately it also sets a dangerous precedent that threatens all developers who use AI to "improve" their models and animations.
They should seriously re-examine the AI issue (perhaps in a more flexible way) because it is clear that if images/animations have become, at least for some reviewers, indistinguishable from real people, the problem will be there more and more often in the future and it's in their interest to clearly face the matter.

Hmmm... hot wife (cheating vs faithful), strict naughty boss, neighbour(biker who is after main female character)... where did I see this already... 
Compositing and editing videos from numerous generations — which can take hours to render/generate in high resolution, not even counting the time spent setting up scenes — and then merging them precisely with sounds and placing them into the story is far from lazy.
There are plenty of popular devs who don't even include sound in their animations. In my humble opinion, this guy deserves nothing, but praise.
Good job, Novel. I really like your start — keep it up, and good luck with your Patreon/Subscriberstar support, especially if Steam kicked you in the balls.
My two cents:
1.) Take a bit more time matching sounds more precisely. Once you build a library of 20–30 high-quality sound-synced animations in your video editor, you'll be able to reuse and mix them much more easily.
2.) Some AI videos feel a bit overkill:

Bans always spell the end of a platform. If an organization restricts freedom and closes itself to innovations with its institutional legislation, this shows that its future is not bright.

Err…if this is the result, give me more “lazy ass developers.” Guess it is a matter of preference, but damn! More of this please.
As another developer wrote above, using AI tools isn't laziness. It's work, just like any other creative process. Any AI-generated video needs editing – sometimes extensive editing, requiring you to piece together one good result from a dozen attempts. The same applies to AI image generation or processing. These are just tools, like Photoshop or DAZ Studio.
Don't think you can just press a magic button and everything will happen effortlessly.

It happens in the very last scene of the current version.Maybe it's because this simply isn’t in the game?
