The sandbox is not much of the game - i think it works fine to allow you to choose what events you wish to work on as the player. And it fits in well to the game . And as far as it feels to me it does not feel
Like a sandbox game.
And if that is all you dont like and say it every release it is not going to change

Imagine ihateslowburnbluballgames having to read a slow burn romance book of 1000 pages that have only kiss or sex scene at the end of the book. He would fail.
