Yeah greater then nonexistentThe official forum has episode 7 forecast to come out November 28th. Progress on this is way better than HL3.
I'm only a $5 patron, so I don't get access til next week. But it sounds like it has to run off of their server and requires a patreon login to play, so I dunno if it's gonna get here any time soon.So... the new update is out. Anyone able to get it?
Yeah this latest update def. took a long time. But I respect them for going with pledge per update instead of per month, main reason I stuck with them.Sadly this game's development has become such a hot mess that I'm burned out completely. I seriously rather forget all about it, and maybe a few years from now I'll come across a final version and try it then.
I don't think is been that long, I think ep 6 was about 6 months ago. That's a plus, sure. But when it takes... however long this one has taken (I seriously don't know, feels like 2 years) to release an update, you set release dates like 4-5 times that weren't met, then you set a release date saying "this is it!" and then you don't meet that, you know something's wrong.
I remember back when I used to check shark's lagoon (which is a forum I'll never ever return to, yeesh...) they had dedicated 'mods' for the BEW thread just to answer when people would ask what was up.
But anyhow, yeah I'm just going to set this one aside for good, plus I wouldn't like to play this last update and be disappointed at it as well as how long it'll take for the next one.
Pretty sure episode 6 was released in september 2016.I don't think is been that long, I think ep 6 was about 6 months ago.
Its a fair complaint but unlike far too many on Patron he only charges per updateThat's a plus, sure. Yeah you're right, I didn't realize it had been so long. A year is a long time for an update. But on the upside, he said this one is sizeable, and adds foundation for the rest of the game which will make the following updates faster. (hopefully)Pretty sure episode 6 was released in september 2016.
major reason why it wasnt done faster was due to a death in his family - not because he didnt pay for his workersFuture updates are supposed to be on a "normal" timescale (every 3-4 months). This one took so goddamn long because he inexplicably decided to add like four new women into the middle of existing content and then tried to stitch all the plotlines back together. He kept missing deadlines because the team he brought on took one look at his insane plan and smartly decided that the pittance he was offering wasn't worth the effort. Now that everything is set, he can add new content without breaking everything and get back to a regular release schedule. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.
It wasn't inexplicably... he asked his patrons what they want and they choose adding three additional characters as romance option. Wolfe actually warned that doing that might about 6 months per character so he made a second poll to see if he's to focus on just one of the three or all of them. Patrons choose all of them knowing it could take 18 months to do so...Future updates are supposed to be on a "normal" timescale (every 3-4 months). The death in the family was a year ago, every deadline missed since then was because most of the team he had on hand bailed on him. I didn't say he didn't pay them, just that whatever he could offer wasn't nearly enough for the amount of work involved.major reason why it wasnt done faster was due to a death in his family - not because he didnt pay for his workers
Which is why you don't even make the offer in the first place. There's no reason that a spinoff game couldn't have covered the new romance options. Chaotic and Tlareo take ancillary characters from their games and give them separate fleshed out stories of their own all the damn time, rather than trying to shoehorn them into old code.It wasn't inexplicably... he asked his patrons what they want and they choose adding three additional characters as romance option. Inclussion of those characters was always the plan... the only thing that changed was timing of when they are included. Originally, he planned to include one of them (probably Azumi or Jasmine) once he complete 1/3 of the story, the second once he complete 2/3 and third once game is complete.Which is why you don't even make the offer in the first place.
