They gave up on this game long ago. Its on life-support. How many years has it been since a real update came to the game?

The game is free on Steam, and some devs just know when to stop if X game is complete in their eyes. Either that or they was having issues irl- forgot. Any update regardless of size shows that they still care about it.

IDK this game just lost it's passion, the males designs are ass, like if you gonna make human with cat ears for female why can't you do the same for male? And why the furry female is called exotic!? when they should have been the original one. Like just don't bother with this game, discontinued.

I hate furries, so I like that you can turn that s*** off.
I also prefer to have only females with an occasional futa, so another plus.
HOWEVER, this is a dead game.

No actual development or movement. MANY Months between updates that are a nothingburger. No meaningful content. No expansion of mechanics. Lack of proper focus or planning.

For all intents or purposes, this is a dead game.

Any update regardless of size shows that they still care about it.

Any update, if you can call it that, over the last couple of years appears only when the game gets the "abandoned" status. And this does not mean that the developer cares about the game. Most likely, it is about caring about their wallet.
A clear example with the latest update: in Steam, the stable Public version was updated four times in a short time. Since 2019, I do not remember this ever happening. Apparently, Valve is also not particularly happy with such a "responsible" attitude of Derelict to the game, and the developer had to post a raw product, named it the Public version.
This is my opinion, whether you agree with it or not is up to you.

Dev obviously doesn't care. Might as well just take the game off life support and stop. I'm sure he has lost money from the lack of updates. It's sad to see the game come to this point. I'm sure many others rather spend their money on another game that has updates regularly.

Dev, if you want to revive the game just do two things:
1) we need more furry/fantasy races available (and so the mix races)
2) finally make a good POV camera -give few cm of height to the breeder and just ajust the camera

I mean...even if the game gets significant updates it would be all about futas. I read that the dev moved away from male models for some gay reasons so any future new race that gets included will only have female and futa variants for breeding.

I don't like futa so even if the game got a resurgance I still wouldn't play it because there would be nothing waiting for me xD

Every fucking time I see a game with male content (that isn't catered towards men obv), the male content always happens to be either severely lacking or completely obscured by futa.

I don't care about futa. I don't want futa. If I want dick, I want it from a man. It's like there's a futa curse on these types of games. I don't understand the appeal personally...

Do we need a new BotN Tools?

I abandoned the game a long time ago, tired of playing it again after every minor update.
I recently talked to the developer of BotN Tools, and I had a question for the community:
*What exactly does not work in BotN Tools v0.10, or does not work as it should in the latest versions of the game?
*What new important functions have become necessary?
I will pass on your wishes to the developer.

The latest version of BotN lacks some new traits. For example, there is no " Hypersexual", maybe there is something else missing, so it needs to be updated.

Estimates 13k-35k a month, from research including Patreon's own, most people settle in center tiers so I'd guess around ~20k a month. This is despite a steady downward trend.

I have absolutely nothing against using patreon, I just wish more creators took their fans more seriously and treated them and their game more fairly/honestly/whatever.

The current culture of funding games, even those that aren't eroge or adult-games has shifted into a very weird place for sure.
I wouldn't mind waiting half a year for big content updates, but waiting years for nothing is... interesting.
I've learned to just not fund games anymore unless they have a record of delivering actual substance on a timely manner with minor hiccups.
I'm not falling for the patreon scam again, that's for sure.
