I'll always say it for people who come up here. This game can be an amazing breeding simulator AS LONG AS you keep very clearly in mind that you'll have to use some cheats to bypass literal IRL days of boring grind until you get to the meat of this game's content. Love having a homestead with a family of hawt futas roaming around in a Palworld-eske style but you have to understand for your mind's sake that getting that "without" cheats.... Welp, you're in for A FUKIN GRIND, literally speaking and also annoyingly hypothetically as well. Unlike other games like survivals such as Minecraft or Conan Exiles that also have grind, in those you feel like the grind, while bothersome. Each bit you do counts a lot. Go on MC or CE to hunt some iron and by the time you return you can do a lot of stuff or create a bunch of contraptions out of those. But on BotN. Sometimes to level up a neph from say level 1 to level 7 or so can take several ingame days, and this is just assuming that you already acquired the right specimen but only need it to be at a certain minimum level. The rest is another odyssey of it's own.

With cheats on however, the experience can be waaaaaaaaay better. Sure, skipping something like progression might make some interactions like the one with Fessy kinda pointless. But frankly, rather have a half interaction with them than none at all cause it takes me a century to even get to the have access to the area where she initially appears so you can "help" her. This game is the perfect example of the classical question that many gamers at some point face: "Do you play games for fulfilling a sense of accomplishment or to have some mindless fun?"

I don't get the whole legality things when "promises" are involved, because anything inside of a tos can pretty much give anything in court a middlefingle and say suck my beloved shoulder blades.
We know where that was going to go.
Still, that would be nice.

the responsibility is no longer on the maker, and is no longer driven by other motivations of need and deliver.

The real problem is they don't know how to develop games/making them the right way would be hard to fund. They always start with the visuals first and then work their way back to the actual system under the hood, Which is backwards.

You this with amateur indie games a lot but the early success porn games sometimes get in the alpha stages prevents people from learning the lesson.

The visuals should be that last parts but that difficult with porn games since the visuals are (usually) the main appeal or what draw people to pay for it, especially with patreon model people use these days. Video games have to built from the inside out.

So I have found a potential deal breaker problem and it's that after updating with save edit an old save, in the latest version it prevents the nephs to spawn. Not sure what exactly is the issue that is happening but knowing the dev I wouldn't discard the idea that somehow he put it as a way to prevent people to bypass the grind by making a save in an old version, edit it and then trying to load it in the new one to lock neph spawning. If things were different I would expect things to break that way and understand that it was meant to happen, starting a new save file, unfortunately Derelict has a infamous habit of forcing restarts on progression just to deal with his game's stupid grind and I'm currently on a point that there's so much BS I can stand from a game before I question if the experience I'm getting out of it is worth it at all or if maybe I should find an alternative. And modded Skyrim seems to be giving a much more reliable one as a "breeding" game than this one does currently. Even if having to sacrifice certain options of it to gain others.

Cause sure, you could start a new gameplay now and not having to deal with this problem or others induced by modifying a save file version, but there's no garantee the next update is not gonna do the same and I'm sick of having to hoard game versions just so I can play the previous save files I started on older ones.

You took an old save file. Edited it, so it is no longer original.
Placed this outdated, possibly corrupted file in place of a working save...
And you expected nothing to go wrong?

Of course I expected things to malfunction, not to stop working at all. Specially when I'm forced to use that method to use older saves cause the damn dev keeps forcing old saves to not load on newer game versions after each 4-5 hotfixes. Which let me tell you. This is the only game that forces me to do shit like this. Any other game I play on version 0.1, make a save, then stop playing for months, one day I boot that 0.1 save on version 0.6 and the file loads perfectly. BotN however? You make a save on version 0.61, and when you try to load it on version 0.61.3, released a pair of weeks after and suddenly the game doesn't load that file. In a save that you may have spent hours playing and grinding stuff. IDK about you but I don't have the time to keep starting again from scratch EVERY SINGLE TIME the dev updates the fukin game in order to have my save files to load.

Specially when the absurdity of saving the game on version 0.2 and loading it on version 0.3 doesn't work. But saving it on version 0.3 DOES load on 0.2. It's like, sure.... Skyrim Special Edition save files naturally load on Legendary Edition (Which is older, amd with less stuff) but Legendary Edition saves won't load on Special Edition being newer?
