Ya can breed all the traits, from time to time some monsters with the new traits appear in the shop (mutagen and all night don't have tooltips ingame so I don't know what they do or if they work).

How did you discover it? I'm really tired of combining it with different types, but it never worked.

I bred and savescumed like a madman to pass the traits, it is randomized to a certain point, I can breed two perfect monsters and still get crappy offspring with barely any trait.
Chance for each trait to be passed is ~30%
Having it on both parents doesn't matter for passing chance, it only matters if You gonna get it +1 level.
So passing 5 traits is ~0.25% of all breeds. Even with 50% (Aproximate chance if 2 rolls would be given) pass it's ~1.5% to get 5 traits. (I didn't use correct probability formulas, this is pretty much 0.3/0.5 POW calculation). And then pray, that it inhereited correct levels or got +1. So if You want to get 6 traits MAX level genes it's better to have 2 character with 2-4 different MAX traits to avoid wrong level inheritance and SPIN THE GACHA. (Or I just make BepInEx to adjust rates, make it scale with level/stats etc.)

Breeding Season was much more generous with 2 rolls for trait for each parent and higher base inherit chance.
NGL, one day I'd just spreadsheet the heck out of inheritance chance to just find the gold middle chance.

Needs a "go home and sleep" button. I think that each creature having their own energy would make more sense and there should be a way for the PC to gain more traits.

Using current mechanics and lore the best option for giving the player traits and/or better stats likely would be the witch. Have potions or give us other beast forms which bleed stat buffs/abilities to the player. Ideally this would have unlocking conditions based on the different monsters you have unlocked and been potentially methods to aid certain characters' storyline progresses. It would have been a central mechanic of the game and story to really pull off though which is too late at this point.

is this game abandon ?
im here at version:
Breeding Farm [v0.7.1] [Team Bieno]
Nope, but most of the team left a few months ago due to internal struggles to make their own team and alternatives to Bieno¿s games and it seems that the main leader now is going solo.

excuse me, is it me or this game a mess that doesnt explain well what you have to do to unlock the quest so you just waste time clicking every place?
also, there is no challenge, its impossible to fail meeting the money asked for
am I confused about how to even advance in the game

1. Yes, the quests are a mess.
2. It is theoretically possible to fail to make money to survive but that is because bad coding caused new orders to stop coming in. Even then you can cover it with working in the bar.

The difficulty curve and gameplay loop for this game are not well built for what the game is marketed as. It tries to lean on it's story to cover those weaknesses but fails to have a deep enough story to so currently.

The Jealous Girl/Duplicate Jealous Widow bug fix

You can use to fix issues with The Jealous Girl not starting / duplicate The Jealous Widow quests

Before you start, save your game.

Use Game Editor to make a Quest Data backup save
This will create two files, you'll need both - navigate to
Windows: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Team Bieno\Breeding Farm
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/com.TeamBieno.BreedingFarm

There are 3 subfolders here after you create the Quest Data Backup. You need to use the files from quests and variables subfolders. They'll be identically named whatever name you used when making the Quest Data save/backup.

Start with either one of the two files

In quests, you'll find the duplicate Journal entry for The Jealous Widow. Delete it. You'll know which one it is because it's progress state should be set to 1 and missing text for the follow up progression. Also delete the comma that was right before it, on the backend of The Jealous Girl.
This removes the duplicate entry from your Quest Journal
Save file and move it back to the quests folder, overwriting the original

Then in variables
Find the key value pair for quest_the_jealous_girl
Update the values from a 0 to a 1
Save file and move it back to the variables folder, overwriting the original

Once both files are updated and replaced (and still identically named) - go back to the game and load the Quest Data through Game Editor. You should now be able to trigger her scene in the downstairs hallway at night.
