Yeah, I remember back when I tried a version on Newgrounds that was a problem. This is why I just now in another thread recommended Breeders of the Nephelym - the use of 3D graphics with a standard character model for the player and all tameable/breedable monsters means any combination works for at least some animations, and the traits system and color blend feature means that the monsters you breed will actually take after their parents visually. Really, BotN is kinda just a better version of BS, with more content and a better chance of eventually being completed, which TBF isn't saying a lot. I still wish BS would be completed though, because full mouse control is so much better for porn than mouse-and-keyboard like in BotN, and I tend to find 2D art more sexually appealing for whatever reason - particularly the (?)second(?) art style BS used.

Breeders of Nephelim is nice but for the time being is still inferior to breeding season, best case scenario all envs, mechanics, 3d models and animations are just a placeholder,the whole thing really screams default unreal engine template, can't believe they didn't make a proper custom walk cycle for the MC after all this time..
I've been checking the builds on and off for 3 years now and the progress on the sex scenes and breeding system itself is almost zero

Eh dude i dont find the art style appealing, but yeah i've seen this going around.
Yeah, I may have given its thread on this site a high rating but I don't think I ever said it was a good game? Just that, in my opinion, in this specific game niche, BotN is the closest thing to a good monster breeding game. I can imagine a lot better. Reduce monster varieties to a specific theme like standard fantasy races, have a Dragon's Dogma style character generator with more fluid height-scaled animations, gene-based appearance and starting stats, some kind of battle-fuck turn-based combat system for capturing monsters which incorporates the character stats... unfortunately the main ways one might improve upon these games would require starting completely from scratch, rather than adding or changing what's already there. Monster Black Market is fully complete, but feels more limited and shallow to me compared to BotN, but still better than BS.
what is the version with the old art?
also playing the newest version, is there only animation when mating with the mc? like no animation when harpy + wolf etc.

I'm sorry everyone I contacted S-Purple and he just said no and didn't give any explanations why. I did even ask if he would sell the right to use the already made designs to finish the project but he just said "I am not going to sell my designs and I do not wish to have my art used for this" and thats it.
I even gave him ways how it could be done without people getting scammed, if that was what he was worried about but no.
I'm so sorry everyone, I can't do the missing schences after all because S-Purple has the writes to the designs and I don't want a lawsuit.

Oh wow. Well that's it then, this game is dead. This was the final nail in the coffin. RIP.
I mean, maybe if we find out that S-Purple himself died then it's practically safe to do whatever with his work regardless of whether it's technically legal, but no, can't exactly count on that happening. At this point, anyone who has the talent and drive to finish the game would be better off starting from scratch, which is probably for the best. Flash is dead, the dev won't do any more work or even allow it to be finished by someone else, and it's not clear this game would have been that great anyway.
On to greener pastures.

This is disheartening but the death of Breeding Season leaves a niche to be filled. You could, if you wanted, make a similar game with your own art and reap the massive success this would assuredly bring you?

Just don't reuse his art and designs and you're good to go, and there's a version of the game that exist before he got involved. So technically I don't think you can get in trouble for using that.

The old first designs made by HBomb are very different.
I was able to contact to HBomb the creator, they where polite but there isn't really nothing what could be done.
The rights to the art belong to S-Purple because of the contract they had made.
Also I'm an artist I'm not that good with coding so if S-Purple would have been okay with me finishing the project I would have contacted HBomb again to ask him to help me with the coding.
I'm not as good as S-Purple but I can mimic S-Purple's style. So it would have been easy for me to draw the missing schences.
(I did put small example pic before and heres other one what I made, but it was never finished)
Making everything from nothing would take a loooooong time and alot of work. It would not be that much work if I could just use the old designs but thats not possible now. I'm also not sure would people even like completely different style, if I made new desings. So not that interested to dedicate my time for something what people might not even like.
I wanted to add the missing parts and finish it, but I cant.

The Only Way Forward is to make new artwork. But if you think of it like this you already got half the game done.
So your choices are make new art yourself or get a different artist to help you.
You can use HBomb's old art as placeholders as you go through and replace everything.
But if you're just wanting to do a wrap up like like Nergal did for Urban X life.
I believe you can just do that and not really need to ask permission. I am not 100% sure since this situation is kind of Jank, but you can probably get away with it if you treat it like a mod.
or you can go do a full reboot route like Urban Demons.
