It could be re-made with new art. Even the pre-revamp Newgrounds style would be great.

hmmm you mean the old LoK style assets? i liked those. not entirely sure but part of those might be open art, or public domain, or something along those 'free-to-use-as-long-as-the-author-is-mentioned' licenses. one would have to check

those so called AI are just mere programs. or apps. well, big and complex, still there's no true creativity behind that, because that would have to happen outside of what the 'AI' had been told to do. and when (not if) that happens, every single programmer of said AI gonna shit their pants just because of OMG computar not do what i tell it we is doometh!
they want the systems smart. they don't want them truly intelligent, or creative.. because that leads to:

I meant in that style, which is probably easier to do than the very ambitious artstyle they tried to do later. Ideally it would be done with new assets as to not cause conflict. I just want a monster-breeding game in this style is all.

ok like i said, there should be free to use assets of that style floating around at the LoK forum.
i feel ya, that was some one-of-a-kind game and hasn't found a comparable successor yet.
a restart would still need someone to modify whatever is available into actual models of monsters and all that, and i'm not convinced Hbomb would just let it slide if someone would simply slap new models on the old game.. basically, the main storyline was complete (as in, you can play the game until all debt is paid) and some of the side stories seemed to be complete as well. that's majorly his writing..
no point asking Mittsies for animations again, won't happen. no point asking Spurple about anything BS related, won't happen either. very likely no point asking Hbomb for free use of anything of the game story. you might more or less end up with another spiral of the back-then started blame game.
would have to do a rewrite, rework from free assets (or hire artist), and animate.
OR simply copy pasta whatever you want in a 'new' game and shit-all on whoever complains about copyrights on a abandoned porn game's content. after all we're on a pirate site here. yarr. but all that in Flash? those shoes there won't fit me.
Can you please tell me how to run the game on Windows 10? What to use to start? Tried SMPlayer and SWF file Player, it doesn't work

Man, I played Breeders of the Nephelym, Cloud Meadow and Mating Season but this one is my favorite. It should be continued, its not fair for it to be abandoned...

i use this one: original Adobe Flash player
HowTo: just unzip it into some folder of your choice (example: C:\Players\ancient\ <-that's an example.. just putting it onto desktop can cause issues), no need to install anything.
then, right click the .swf file you want to play, choose 'open with..' and 'browse..' to the location where you unpacked the player, pick that one. don't forget to tick the 'always open with this' box if you want all .swf files be opened with this player every time.
Disclaimer, standard: do a virus scan after downloading the file. i have scanned it before uploading, but that's been a while. i suggest, always scan a file after downloading, before you do anything else with it, even if you trust the source. the interwebs is a dangerous place.
The game is not starting up. opening the swf file with flash 32 and it just became a white background after clicking "NEW GAME"
i've always thought that the npc could be beaten and captured to be one of ur production material
More accurately the game was killed off in an internal argument/insurrection. It will never be finished so long as Spurp holds rights to its assets and I wouldn't bother coming back to check, the other side of the dev team has moved on to start a new game (Breeding Season Estrus) with a similar concept but different approach using AI art.

TlDr; Autistic man (me) thinks he did something, actually turns out he did nothing.
I'm currently decompiling the .swf files and turning them into .fla in case anyone wants to play around with them.
I don't know shit about working in flash so this is just for shits and giggles on my part.
Also because fuck S-Purple in the mouth.
Edit:
All done, decompiled every SWF file and the SWF stuff inside the executable as well for good measure.
That means every script, every sprite, everything.
Not sure if I should upload it to a filesharing site or what, so for the time being if you want the decompiled source code for the game you'll have to DM me.

The ACTUAL source code has already been leaked.
Ah well, at least I had some fun and maybe I even learned something along the way.
Is the main reason why people don't continue working on the game because S-Purple will pursue legal action against anyone who does..?
Is it some sort of misguided "respect for his art", which considering how he fucked the rest of the dev team he really doesn't deserve (plus, you know, sailing the seven seas and all that)?
Maybe it's because nobody can, will, and/or wants to replicate his artstyle/remake the game with different graphical assets?
Or maybe it's just that nobody uses flash anymore. That's probably at least a part of it, right?

saves file as .sol but it cant find .sol files only .sav files thats odd
