Yeah I feel you. It may not initially seem like there's a difference between the player controlling him to go around and impregnate these women through simple fetch quests or whatever, and the player seeing recollections of him impregnating women from their point-of-view after the fact, but it sort of takes the player out of the drivers' seat. Having the incidents be a foregone conclusion like that is a larger change to the formula than it first seems and it may not work as well. Even it was a bit of a foregone conclusion in the first 2 games as well you could still pick and choose. Like in #1 I imagine there were a fair few players who went back to an earlier save file and decided not to knock up the Tomboy because of her sad ending slide. In fact I think it was possible to complete #1 without impregnating any 'bad ending' girls like Tomboy, Punk Girl, Nerd, etc.
On the other hand I'm a bit opposite from you on the last part. I'm super into cross-dressing tomboys. And to be fair, I think Nero might be a bit less flat chested than you think, its just that the suit jacket de-emphasizes her boobs. From a close look at her clothed character model she looks not so much flat-chested, as "average with no implants" whereas most of the girls in these games would be approximately 20% silicone by volume if they were real.
As for the scene count, the "7" figure is clearly not all the scenes, that's just all of the after-the-fact scenes being investigated. And the boss lady evades the question of whether she got pregnant, and since she is trying to fire all the other girls from their jobs it seems clear that she is going to be on that list too and the storyline likely involves proving that she was, to save the rest from punishment.
Yeah I'm still pretty hyped and my only real worry is that we will have to wait another year and a half for a sequel before we see tomboy detective getting knocked up
From the two sided menu design I got the feeling that you play both characters, perhaps the detective in the first half and your boi in the second, I would say he might come back and finish up but to be honest I cant see that boss lady getting away clean in the first place lol.

Generally I wanted to emphasize that I am not thrilled to play as Nero and tried to add some contrast because as you said, most if not all the girls are pretty well endowed.
I wouldn't have even bat an eye if she was one of the girls you could impregnate as Reed. Like a one and done thing. But we are forced to play as her a good chunk of the game and I can not decide to just leave her alone you know?
Also bill101 might not seem so far of because Wombat mentioned in a patreon post that Breedtown 3 has a "second" playable character. How much screentime we have now with confirmed nero is speculating. I guess half the time as well since she took half the banner space xD
Wombat also mentioned that we are only in the office building during the game and we will have a smaller roster.
The building seems huge but I have a hard time imagining how diverse the girls can be. Realistically it should all be office workers.
Remember what we all had in the second game with all the different set pieces.
A smaller roster will always be a big F especially if you had a healthy amount in the previous game. Be it animated or not and having half of them during flashback scenes playing as nero doesnt help xD
Anyway before I rant and critsice the game even more than I already have before it is even out I will wait and see. Let the man cook as the kids would say nowadays.
But I am more skeptical than hyped overall.

Love your shit, TCW. That said, I'd recommend some more frequent convo breaks in the full release. The first interview carried through for a long time and included the sex scene, so players would have to wade back through a lot of dialogue to get back there.

I'm so hyped for this! The new animations look excellent, and I'm intrigued by the choice to explore the game from another character's perspective. Can't wait for more!
Update on the Patreon shows 2 more of the ladies. One of which is a muslim woman in hijab! Hooray for more representation! Although, I suspect that this particular form of representation is one that particular religious community might be less than appreciative of

The other one is very obviously setting up a "racist white bitch mindbroken and knocked up by BBC" scenario which, honestly, I'm surprised it took 3 games to get around to. Maybe it's a jab at the audience who insisted on complaining about the race of the main character in the first two, even though it was very downplayed by the story and dialogue.
Sort of like how the storm of complaints about the Tomboy in Breedtown 1 motivated the dev to include her in the sequel as well, just to troll the people who were losing their shit over that part of BT1. "Alright, if you're determined to bitch over interracial sex scenes, I'll give you something to bitch about"

If the 4th one gets to the content density and formula we known to love to in the first 2 games then I dont mind the experiment that is the third game a tiny little bit less.
Peace of mind so to speak because so far his second game is his magnum opus for me.
