What was the meh for you?
You are trying to cut corners with certain part of the scenes, similar shots but additional person there between the 2 paths. I think i leave it at that without spoiling it to the people here and you should know what i meant. Different path scenes should be unique by itself, it was way too similar for my taste. It does not help when there is lot spelling and grammar mistake, it just take you out of the story. The choice of words used was not natural as well. Its manageable but a bit awkward to read.

Also the narrative with the mercenary where you give additional tasks to them without extra pay is off. As i've said, you should learn from the game "Deliverence" on how that Dev splits paths and scenes. That game have a good balance.

Edit: You should also reconsider lighting of the scenes. You may need seek other opinion on this. It's way too dark for me

Ty. Honestly trying too see how much i can cut corners, which saves time a lot. DmD used same animation presets for his whole game for 6 years and ppl seem to not find that anoying

You need to consider the game in it's entirety. That game's player choice have different impact in the narrative, ending & renders compared to BL's linear path. From a narrative perspective, DmD is better written and while what you've said is true to a certain degree; BL does not offer what DmD offers. You need to realize you are taking another game's weakness to compare while BL does not have the strengths/pros of that game. People will only overlook certain weakness when the other Pros cover it.

I mean you can ignore my feedback if you want but the disparity in the number of support between your game and DmD speaks for itself. People will only support if it reach a certain level of quality in renders and story.

That's true. But DmD story is about how many dicks she will fit and it's around her while BL trying to be a sorta serious game after some time Li becomes a nonfactor in the story and then you can start making some choices for them because it will not change the story much. Plus you comparing a dude that was one of the first ones to make a porn game to a dude that is still doing this for his third-year :D

I sometimes feel like some people dont understand the story type of the game and want the game to branch out very far where it becomes unrealistic. Bright Lord's story is about surviving and taking fast and right decisions not to go out with the Li to a picnic party while you watch your daughter get fucked by three different dudes :D. I am not saying it's bad, but it doesn't work for this project. I am most certain if I dropped BL and started a new project with my current knowledge would pay me more. But I dont want to have a reputation of dropping projects because BL is a very badly structured game which I just want to finish with its all flaws

More the reason why you should not compare BL with DmD. If the story is already linear then scenes with LIs should NOT be the same with minor adjustment. It's gives the feeling of repetitiveness and tbh is boring to see. The Lis maybe a non factor but the MC's decision is still a factor so stories can be different. No body is asking the story to branch out very far, players only ask for their choice to have an impact in the game.

If you want the game to be linear, might as well just remove all the choices and go ahead and tell the story you want to tell.

You know there are many games that remake the game structure & story; the quality and support it gets increase by a lot. Example, Shut Up and Dance. That game's remake of the first few chapters is like heaven and earth.

I did not start the comparison between you and the DmD Dev. You started the comparison with DmD.
Also if you want to compare to new dev who release their first game earlier: Caribdis & Philly Games. They knock it out the ball park when they release their first game. So what you said in terms of experience is not relevant, its doable and it's a matter of creativity, talent and skill. (also a lot of hardwork/hours)

The theme of BL is nice but the writing, MC's charisma , plots and pacing is lacking relative to the other games out there.
You can continue to do what you do, believe that people dont understand your vision/story type and what not but dont expect the result to change if your approach don't change. There are some people who like your game this way so they will support but don't claim that those who don't support this game under the pretense that they dont understand the story type. People understand but just dont like this style. Games suppose to provide some degree of control to the story narrative, otherwise just read novel/manga etc

Also it's like saying more people would like/watch/play bowling games if they understand it in relative to soccer. That's not true, soccer as a whole is more exciting sports to watch/play in than bowling; its not whether people understand it or not. It's the fun factor. For VNs. it's about the story, gameplay, LIs models and sex scenes

Doing the same thing again and again, expecting the result to be different is insanity. Anyhow, i've drop my support so my feedback should not matter anymore. I might return if your future endeavor fancy me. Good luck to you.

Edit: Sorry everyone for the wall of text/shame

0.6 for phase 1. i guess 6 chapters. why does it even matter?
The developer said that he will rework 3 chapters
I said that I will check to see how much content the phase 1, if it is too much, I will wait for the rework and then I will try it
Now it is clear that half of phase one is going to be reworked, which means that a lot of content is going to be reworked
So I will wait for the rework, then I will experience the game

Just play it twice. Its not very long anyway. Not sure why you're going through so much deliberations.
The reworked was stated, who knows if situations changed.
