One of the biggest takeaways from a game like DOD was the fact that dream shards corrupted the girls and I felt it relied too much on that aspect. I hope that this isn’t the same case I’d love for the Mc to be the one corrupting eventually but I guess we’ll see.

I've said the same thing to someone else with a similar comment, the style of the game and the story is what it is. If it's not your preference like DoD then that's totally fine, but it's just simply not a "takeaway" or knock on the game itself, just what you prefer, which again is fine. The MC tends to "corrupt" the female characters in pretty much every other VN on this site, aside from the games where they just naturally get along and develop feelings, desires for each other, etc... I totally get what you mean and not everyone likes everything. I hate pregnancy, lolis, and NTR, which is apparently a set of cults with fanatic followers lmao. DoD was based entirely on the premise of the shards and that storyline, and that's just the story the dev was going for and it's his game so he does whatever he wants. Same with Bright Lord, while they are certainly not the same game and we probably shouldn't keep comparing them too much, at the end of the day the Dev has a story he's building and I find that people on this site tend to try to influence devs and development to make the game the way THEY want it, and it just gets tiring. Not saying that's you, but people on this site feel entitled to basically tell devs what to do or say that certain VN's are bad because they don't fit that person's exact interests and fetishes. Yeet

Nah, I'm pretty sure that means it's the finalized version of the 0.3 update. As opposed to the alpha test version or beta version. If it says 1.0 Final, that's when you should start wondering whether it's finished.
Is it correct to say that the path of corruption vs resistance pertains to the MC and that will apply universally to all the girls?
i.e What I would like to do is select different paths for different girls (e.g. Love for the mom and younger sis, corruption for other sis and all the side girls like the blond). Is that feasible or will that leave the MC's stats in no mans land and we will have to go the same way for all the girls?

Not too far away, I just finished beta testing and editing the 0.4 final story script, once the codings done I am sure KissKiss Studio will make the announce.
Your patience will be rewarded and hopefully you all will reward our work with the chapter 0.4 release by supporting us on Patreon etc.
Why release a patreon version for people supporting 50 euros if they don't already exist? I think if someone wanted to start supporting a developer for such an amount, he would hardly wait for a specific day when the sequel will be released. It is not logical, except to distance the appearance of a new version in people who have already become patreons.
I bought Rtx 3090 with my last money so I could develop the story further cuz I can't make the updates as fast as I could when I had access to Render farm. The render farm owner scammed me. And I had to work with my RTX 2080. I haven't gotten a good night's sleep for like a month and a half cuz my computer did all the rendering while I was sleeping. I only had few euros left for me to buy food. Who is going to pay for my electricity? You? No, you are not even my supporter prob. You don't have any idea what does it cost to make a decent-looking project. And I am thinking of leaving this site after the 0.4 drops here. The community is trash. Devs are taken hostage by the review system and ppl suck. 0.4 cost me over 300 euros to make I bought RTX with my last money and I got 50 euros left until the months end(thanks to new pledges). And me trying to cash some money in from probably dudes who will pay 50 euros to leak it is wrong? And it's only for one day. Dude these things cost money to make. Like I said I am really thinking of leaving this site. I already got 600 ppl in dc that can give criticism without calling me a retard and a greedy dude.
And I am still in university and have tests and assignments to do every week. Plus there are ppl who fake pledge you who get the special role without paying money and trying to scam me.
And old high-tier supporters already got to play the game.

We have lost a lot of good games
because the updates were either slow or short depending on the player route and the negative backlash drove the devs away.
But we also have a few games that made it work, so best of luck to you mate, I hope the game will flourish

Thanks! About the 50 euro pledge... Well, I already have 20euro patreons who are willing to change it to 50 euros tier. But I just want to go with the pattern I created right now. From highest to lowest. And yeah I am not trying to use the 50 euro pledge just for getting the leaker to pay, but I rather have them pay more before leaking it. Like 0.3 came out on the 27th day, And it's a really bad day to get your game leaked. Why? Because nobody pledges at the end of the month and forget about me in those 3-4 days. And the pledge that got the beta leaked was 10 euros. The game was leaked in the worst state it could get leaked, but it's my fault I don't blame them. So now I am taking my time to fix everything before it could get leaked everywhere. Cuz a lot of sites get the game from here but they don't update the 0.3a 0.3b its stays the same on their site and I learned that f95zone is not the only big porn game site in the world so you know... I still lack knowledge here and trying to improve as much as I can. It just feels really bad when you try to give your best, put money in, have sleepless nights with 2080 blower-style GPU and after all that you are being called a scammer and greedy

Yea that went a little sideways.
But, having been in the same boat as kisskiss-studio I know loosely what the story concept is, and as co-writer, my job is to make sure that his vision is told firstly and then include my bits to make it read a little better.
It is a good story, with more character depth and story concepts coming.
Only 4 chapters in I am glad I jumped in to help out on Bright Lord.
I just spent $500 on a new pc hard drive so that I can help out wth rendering files in the future once I learn how that works etc. I've been a mac user for 15yrs so this change is a costly one and hopefully pays off in the long run. I had to pull some patreon payments to help make the payments because I want to get involved in indie game developments like this one, as well as my own, whenever that one comes out. So, yea its a costly thing wanting to make indie games and balancing act of will it, or won't it pay off in the end.
Hopefully, the naysayers will actually wait for this release to get rid of the 0.3 leaked file's bad taste out of their mouths before giving negative reviews.
Personally, I am enjoying developing the characters and watching and then writing the animation dialogs.
I especially had fun with one of the animation sequences in 0.4 as I got to mess with one of the characters just for player's kinks sake.

I dont know whats going on but i have to say the game looks promising and your patreons count will rise for sure... i also have to say yes there is some very stupid people on the site but there alot of scummy developers who gets to a certain number of patreons then stops working hard on their games thats why people are afraid to support a project before they are sure its going in the right direction .. me included, keep working on the game and you'll see results. have a great day KissKiss Studio

In my opinion, lots of people just have the wrong idea about Patreon. The core purpose of Patreon is to support a creator that you like and to then to get access to certain perks such as betas, special roles, polls, bonus renders, etc... But again, it's about wanting to *support* the creator primarily, and the perks are a nice bonus.
In regards to F95, the community can be really trash, no matter how popular and good your creation is. People try to tell devs what to do with their game and their story, and then give negative reviews when their kinks and fetishes are not present as if the game was made specifically for them. F95 also runs on leaked releases and leaked Patreon exclusive content, but to be fair we've all benefitted from it. So it's a double-edged sword because it's by far the best way to spread your game and grow in popularity, whilst having to accept leaked releases/exclusive content, and a sometimes incredibly toxic community.
I agree with Psychedelic, of course, just gotta ignore a lot of people and deal with it. The best and most popular games have the most insane and cancerous threads lol
