At the beginning of the game it lets you change their names and titles to whatever you want. Your mom/landlady can be your taco sauce, if you want.

At the start of the game, you are asked to type in the relationship you have with the characters. "This woman is your .. what? Default: Landlady" Just type in mom or mother or whatever.
