This inane line of argumentation comes up so often, do people like you ever stop to think for a moment, how absolutely worthless it is? It makes zero sense to say you can't have an opinion about anything, unless you can do it better yourself.

There's fair and unfair, valid and baseless criticism, it has zero to do with whom the critic is or what he does, just with whether his opinion is justified or not.
If you feel one-star ratings make no sense, try to explain why, by showing the game is better (which it is, I absolutely agree it doesn't deserve that kind of rating, whether you like the story and genre or not), but don't brainfart at us with this illogical, meaningless drivel.
so the incest patch doesn't seem to be working in part 1 for me, when i throw it in the game folder it's still making me define their relationship, i thought that was weird so tried removing the patch to see if it changed anything and it doesn't look like it did, could i be installing it wrong?

It kind of depends on what you're after. The high level plot is solid and engaging, the low level plot; the dialogue and interactions is a bit odd and the MC is an absolute fun sponge who basically beats himself up after every scene.
But it's pretty as hell
