I download the new version of the game right from the OP (I haven't played in 2 yrs), started a new game with NO mods or anything installed, got through the intro....and the game error's when I simply try to save. The game refuses to let me save, at all. A "Pickle error". I went to the Windows App location and deleted the entire bright past folder with all saves and persistent data. Started the game and Started a new game again, now it will let me save. So, even though you are starting a NEW GAME, somehow if you played in the past it wont let you save for some reason unless you purge your entire file history of the game. Which, is a bit ridiculous. Never had this happen with a renpy game before.

Also, the Language should be asked when you start the game up, not clear after you get in into the main menu and the music blasting loud.

Also, the prices on this in this game are ridiculous and should be realistic. 50 bucks for a cup of coffee? Ya, whatever the point in making things cost this much, it was a stupid idea from the dev.

EDIT: I added the cheat mod to make the game bareable. This game is utterly unbearable with the constant food, tired, buying things in order to craft food, and other grind nonsense.

Out of curiosity, why does this game compress to a size that's so much smaller? It's gone from over 8 gigs in the main download to nearly 2 gigs with compression. A roughly 75% decrease is pretty massive.

Its more like a 66% size reduction. The original game has around 2 GB in 2 psd files that shouldn't be there in the first place. Dunno why the dev doesn't delete them. Renpy can't do anythiny with them anyways.
After that its a pretty normal compression ratio with standard settings.

Technically finished. We're getting DLCs and patches at this point. Sadly, we don't get bug-fix patches.

Upon reviewing the changelog, it appears that the developer is forcing players to start a new game, introducing mid-game content. There is a lot to implement in the game; he will continue doing so as long as anything else is worth implementing to keep the cash flowing in his crowdfunding, imo.

Thanks for your response. Weird they'd just leave large junk files sitting in the game... makes me wonder how many games do that.

But we do get extra bugs and incompatibility with old saves!

So to see 3 minutes of new content we are forced to start from scratch and redo all the grinding in fast-forward.

When the developmet process is finished for good I will try (no guarantee I'm going to succeed, due to my lack of experience - sorry) to write a no-grinding mod.
My idea is getting rid of nicotine addiction, hunger, and sleepyness which are just a total waste of time that add nothing to the game but BOREDOM.
But until the dev keeps releasing minor updates approximately once per month... no way I'm going to waste effort on a release which is not final.

Did you restored the basement?

To get the webcam studio you have to:

1) find a homeless man near the dumpsers who gives you the famous "old rusty key" that haunts gamers since the Eightyes...
2) find the basement door it unlocks
3) get rid of the garbage in that basement with the help of Rudo
3) make renovations with the help of the worker you find in the street where the basement door is
4) ask Valerie for his boyfriend contact
5) use your phone to message Valerie's boyfriend to help you getting all the tech stuff to set up a webcam studio in the basement
